Dr. Oz Diet Plan
65
Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen developed a diet plan that worked for millions of people. It will also work for you! Why? Because you can eat foods that you like. Customizing your diet plan is very important, Dr. Oz says.
About The Dr. Oz Diet
The main goal of Dr. Oz's diet is to do calorie-restriction. Well, you probably think that is not possible for me. But wait, Dr. Oz is not talking about 1000 calories, instead he wants you to eat 100 calories less than you normally would. That will help you to lose weight in the long run. He also underlines that you should not go for more than 100 calories less per day, because you might become a victim of the yo-yo effect.
High-Fiber Foods
Add lots of high-fiber, high-protein foods to your diet plan. Fiber and Proteins will decrease your appetite. Dr. Oz also says that it is important that you pick foods that you like, because the best diet plan won't be good enough if you don't stick to it for more than just a week. Customize your diet plan so that you could continue eating the foods on that list for more than 1 year.
Eating on a Schedule
Dr. Oz agrees that eating the same foods over and over again will also help you to lose weight. Aside from that it helps to eat on a schedule. He recommends to eat something at least every 3 hours. The Dr. Oz diet plan includes 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. Deserts are not on his list, it should be a reward (every other day only!).
Fish, Nuts, Whole-grain
Avoid stress, sleep enough, exercise and you will be on a great way to lose any unwanted pounds. Next, I'd like to talk about some foods Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen recommend: They both agree that fatty fish, nuts, whole-grain and high-fiber foods are very good choices. An oatmeal is also a great plus. Eating a banana per day can help you to avoid mood problems, the same is true for nuts. Nuts might even help to a certain extent to treat symptoms of depression.
Waist Size Management
Your waist size matters and is more important than your actual weight, so make sure to measure your waist size regularly and if you can buy a pedometer to track your steps per day. If you walk 10,000 steps per day, you are on a good way!
I hope this helped some people. You will find a lot more diet tips from Dr. Oz in his book: YOU: On a diet. If you don't own it yet, go and grab it too!
