Dragons:Facts About These Mystical Creatures
77 Dragons are cryptids that fascinate everyone. They bring out the imagination in the young and the old. These magnificent creatures have inspired people far and wide for centuries. Many cultures have some significant connections to dragons. Many cultures include the Japanese,Chinese,Europeans,Vetic, and Persians.Mysterious, mythcal creatures, are they imagination or actual creatures? You decide.I will only give facts, but will we ever know the entire truth.
These dragons come in many forms, ranging from culture. The first thing that comes to mind when people think dragons are the large winged European dragons.Oriental versions are usually more serpentine than this. The overall thought features of all dragons are reptilian, amphibious,or avian mystics that live for longevity and wiseness. They are even perceived in many religions, especially in oriental religions. They hold very deep spiritual meaning to people and inspire them. They are said to posses power, spirituality, and many other important qualities. In many places, they start out as small as cats to as large as hills by going through exaggerative rewrites.
European Dragons
These are said to appear as large,lizard-like winged creatures. These are said to live deep underground, despite the fact they can fly.Because of this, they symbolize the earth. They are often seen as cruel, terrible creatures. They have a taste for children and large horses.European dragons also represent fear and death. They tend to steal many jewelries and metal and precious gems.
Chinese Dragon
Unlike the previous dragon, these are perceived as gentle and auspicious. These have 5 toes.Emperor used six toes on his dragons, nobility had 4,and commonners had 3 toes.It is said the tiger is its eternal enemy.Chinese dragons are serpentine and may or may not have legs. There are nine forms of the dragon.
Indian Dragon
These are mostly limblesss. They resemble Chinese dragons withoout limbs. They look like cobras with several heads.
Japanese Dragons
These look like Chnese dragons, but with three toes. These grant wishes and are often associated with water.
General Dragon Species
Wyverns
Wyverns:There are debates whether wyverns are dragons. These have only one pair of hind legs. They are more upright, have bat-like wings, and a poisonous tail. These are said to be violent creatures that are becoming endangered if they do exist.
Lung
The lung is a worm-like dragon. It is said to have slithered out of a well. They can liive thousands of years.
Basilisks
These are most commonly thought of as giant snakes, but history disproves that. They are said to look like bird. With one breath, you are dead. They attack anything except toads and snakes because they were hatched from these.
Gargoyles
These are the gurgoyles found at the sides of churches. They were non-living until some evil wizard brought them to life. They do not eat,but they do kill for fun.
Basic Dragons
Marine Dragon:These lived deep in the sea.The massextinction did not kill them off thanks to mutations that adapted them to new lives. They had non-functioning wings and the mutation added the limbs. Before the marine dragon, terrestrial dragons roamed, but could not hunt in the water so they developed flippers and became the marine dragons. The mutation allowed them to go back to living on land.
Prehistoric Dragon:These now-extinct dragons were either the ancestors or the descendants of the marine dragons.Prehistoric dragons have their hind legs, but no front limbs. It is said that the evolution caused them to breathe fire and their front legs to evolve into wing.A strain of bacteria that lived in their stomachs made it possible for them to fly.Their inorganic diet of metals caused them to breathe fire.
Forest Dragons:The forest dragon, like its name says, dwells in the forest. They have serpentine bodies, small wings, are quadrapeds, and slim. They can return to rivers and swim well because they retained thei prehistoric features. They can hop to attack their prey. These are the great ancestors of both the Japanese and Chinese dragons.
Mountain Dragons:These may live in the mountains, but are usually not. They were found during medieval times. These had two pairs of limbs and two wings, just like most postcretacious dragon. These were fairly short, but strong.
Dragons In Modern Days
Today, the dragons are mis-understood.W tehink that every dragon is a European one. They are viewed purely as these evil creatures, with metallic scales and killer attitudes. The dragon is still however of much interest. Are they real.Yes the are,in our imaginations and maybe even in reality.

you know Nicko that we bunyips have never been officially classified as dragons . I do have a sneaky suspicion though that somewhere, way back oh, lets say about 30 million years, some one might have strayed off the straight and narrow path, and I may just have a bit of dragon in me.

Nicko - morning :)
Nicely put together facts! Dragons are rather magnificent creatures. Usually.
And yup, they exist. We have Kevin - in all his scaly glory - as proof. He's none of the above though. He's some other type altogether. I guess I better hub about that ;)
