Draw Really Cool Stuff

This book is a really good and simple and easy to follow book on drawing really cool stuff as the title of the book suggests, my son recieved it for christmas but he hasn't had much time to look through it because of me, I've hijacked it beause it is a really good book and one that has simple little step by step drawing tutorials on drawing such things as fish, dinosaurs,cars, birds and lot of jungle animals.

I felt a bit guilty the other day as he asked for it back right when I was going through the best dinosaur drawing parts and so I told him a little white lie that I have lost it in the store room somewhere, even though it was under my drawing board safe and sound with little post its all over it and inside bookmarked the best pages that I hope to use as inspiration and create my very own hubpages on the subject of drawing some really cool stuff.

The book itself has simple tutorials that are one or two pages long and hey don't have too much writing as it is the drawings that you focus on to achieve the results that are shown within the book. This is perhaps one of the best kids drawing books that I have ever seen and I've seen a few and it collects six main books with themes of interest for the kids to draw:

1. How to draw ocean animals
2. How to draw cars
3. How to draw desert animals
4. How to draw dinosaurs
5. How to draw rainforest animals
6. How to draw insects

There is a section on drawing sharks to give you an example and the shark steps are very easy to sketch out, because the basis of each tutorial begins with a few well placed shapes and then building on top of these geometric shapes to create the desired result. Of course though the best part of the book for me is drawing dinosaurs as all the old favourites are there to learn to draw, like the triceratops, the t-rex and the brontosaurus and the velociraptor, all those we thought was real life creatures in Jurassic Park.

Drawing cars is also an interesting section as cars for me have always been quite difficult because for one main reason I was never interested in drawing them as a child for some strange reason it was always a helicopter or an aeroplane. But here we are treated to a car drawing extravaganza and I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed learning how to draw a car.

This book teaches you how to draw the basics in a no nonsense fashion and is a good starting point for the world of drawing anything your imagination can conjure up and early on when kids are just figuring out how to draw, but also the adults can learn from this book too and join in with the kids to draw, but in my case I was slightly selfish and drew on my own like a greedy fool.

Maybe I'll give this book back when I've finished with it, or I just might say it is lost forever mwahahahahaha...no Im only kidding I'll hand it back soon as I've nearly finished the projects I was inspired by...
