You don't have to be an artist.

Years ago I was drawn to a book I believe was called Draw Me A Tree. Some people analyze handwriting. But this book taught me how to analyze trees. Here's what you do:

You grab a piece of typing paper or blank printing paper and any pen you desire. Then you draw a tree.

It can be a simple tree or an elaborate tree or a giant tree or a little tree. Draw whatever suits you. Remember, it's not an art contest.

Post your drawing to Flickr or photo bucket and send the link to me at queenofdreams@gmail.com and I will send you your reading.

I see that there is now a magic trick with the same title and the ads are being automatically served to this article. But they are not affiliated with me nor this method. This is a form of divination and has nothing to do with stage magic.

Hi Jimmy,

Trees without leaves are considered winter trees. People who draw winter trees have a darker more serious side they keep under wraps. Count each fingerlike branch and that indicates how many areas of responsibility you have. I can't tell you much more without seeing the tree. I need to know things like does it have roots, is the trunk colored in, is it tiny or big on the page, where is it on the page, etc.

Is this only for adults, or can you interpret trees drawn by kids too? My daughter would like to try.

Any age can do it.

With parental consent that is. It would be interesting if you both did one.

Can I draw my tree digitally for you? I don't own a scanner but I -do- have photoshop programs I could use. :)

Yes, that would be unique.

I'm considering buying the DvD version of "Draw me a tree." Have you had much success with this system?

Not sure how you use it, but I'm a magician who performs some mentalism and would like to add this to my festival line-up. Reviews are hard to come by, so any input would be great.

Dear Moonmaiden,

I have just drawn a tree, however I cannot see your email address on this page. Please could you let know your email address so that I can send it to you for analysis. (I can't wait).

Thank you.

Jestina.

Dear Moonmaiden,

Please ignore my previous message, as I have just realised that I can contact you via email on the right hand side of the web page (which I have now done). As you can probably tell, I have never done this before.

Thank you.

BC I think we are talking about 2 different things. This isn't a magic trick but a form of divination.

Jestina, I just updated the article. If you post your photo to Flickr or Photobucket and send me a link I can get right on it.

I've no idea if this site is still active or not, but I feel compelled to comment. this is certainly no form of divination. it's a very obscure psychological tool on how to read people. I happen to be a magician and I'm currently learning how to do this myself from a DVD published by another magician. it's absolutely fascinating, but definitely not 'divination' in any sense other than mortal observation.

There again I'd have to disagree with you Roylance. But then again, if we all agreed with each other the world would be a boring place.

Magicians 'as in pull a rabbit out of a hat' and Magicians 'as in casting spells' rarely agree on this. Since I'm both, I can't really see why we are often in conflict with each other.

It's funny but I get the same kind of comments on my spoonbending articles.
