Dream Kitchen Remodeling on Hold because of the Economy? HOGWASH!
63Reshuffling Priorities
Current Economic Conditions have your Dream Kitchen Remodeling Project on Hold?
Every family has been effected in
some way by the slowed economy. This has caused many to stop and
reflect on whats really important. What is "Essential" starts to
rearrange our list of Priorities. For most of us "Things" are moved
down the list and "Relationships" move up. Family (or for some at the
very least one of their family members) becomes the focus of this
"Essential" Priority List reshuffling. For many this new "Essentials
List" will begin to guide their decisions back to the basics. Many will
resolve to "Pull together as a Family" and begin to think of ways to
build stronger relationships with family members.
One Simple way of doing this is to begin to Cook Meals together as a family. This age old tradition has nearly been lost in the "carry out", "dine out" world we now live in. Except for Thanksgiving or Holidays many people never experience this "timeless" family relationship building experience.
Once you have made the decision to start Cooking meals together you may find that your Kitchen has less that adequate space to handle your meal preparation crew. A few bruises from elbows in the ribs or an unintended rump bump could spill or spoil an entire meal . . . more importantly the "fun" of family meal making. Solution?
A. Put everyone in the family on a diet hoping to fit into your small kitchen space.
B. Borrow money for your Dream Kitchen from your rich Uncle Harry or Aunt Bertha.
C. Take out a huge loan from your local bank. (NOT!)
One Solution to saving families new found commitment to traditional meal making is making over your old Kitchen . . . one item at a time. Instead or abandoning your Dream kitchen altogether I suggest chopping up your Project into little bite size pieces. Is this the best way to remodel a kitchen? Most Remodeling experts would say NO! But with proper planning your Dream kitchen can become a reality one bite at a time.
