62Park
The Park opened August 5,1879. It was the last stop for the steam railroad at the end of Culver Road, in Irondequoit, New York, near Lake Ontario. in 1900 the Long family brought the famous carousel from Philadelphia,to the park along with many rides. That was the beginning of Seabreeze. In 1920 it had aquired (4) roller coasters, and the world's largest salt water swimming pool. They also had live acts on Midway. 1040 the third generation, George Long purchased the Park and he renamed it "Dreamland Park". Circus style acts and band concerts were added to the Park's bandstand.

my memories
I first went to "Dreamland Park in 1956 when I was a teenager and was totally thrilled with the Carousel or as we called it; " the Merry-go-Round". They had a neat attraction called the "Ring". When you rode the Merry-go-Round, you stood up and while holding onto the pole you reached for the ring dispenser, located on the north side of the carousel, and every time you passed by you would reach for the ring. Most of the time you would get a silver ring, but if you were lucky enough, and got the brass ring, it meant you had a free ride. They also had a ride called " the Lightning Bug" and Fairyland Zoo was installed. 1970 the grandchildren rebuilt the Park adding new rides such as: Gyrosphere,Man Handlers, Kaleidoscope, Loop O Planes and swiched the name back to Seabreeze. 1990-fifth generation of the Long family, installed new rides:Raging River, Water Park, Quantum Loop and Screaming Eagle. After a devastating fire the Park creates new wooden Carousel. 2000, new millennium begins with live shows and the Seabreeze Passport Program offering multiple visits. 2004- 125 years anniversary, with a new attraction, The Whirlwind. This Park is listed as the 4th oldest amusement park in the country.
