Orange and Pomegranate Juice - MMM
Pick Your Color!
Wonderful flavors and nutrients are found in the juice from fresh vegetables and fruit. But first, Invest in an electric juicer!! You won't be sorry! In fact, I think you'll be feeling better than you've felt in years!!
Disclaimer: Always consult a physician before making major changes to your diet.
I've been studying juices lately, because of course, all of us want to stay young and beautiful and have all the fun we can in this wonderful world and look like we're 30 when we're 82...right?
So, now that we've arrived to that conclusion, what's the big deal about juice?
Let me explain. Let's say you took 2 small beets (don't wrinkle your nose, it has a wonderful earthy taste in this juicer recipe), and added 1 carrot, 1 pear, and 1/2 lime and 1 inch of fresh ginger, and you put them in a juicer (recipe below) you would receive many health benefits.
Beets are very rich in potassium, which is really effective in keeping blood pressure low. Everything in this glass of juice is rich in vitamins and anitoxidants, all of which protect against aging free radicals as well as helping our cells with their normal funtions. Ginger is a great "wake-up," as it stimulates circulation and revs up the digestion, so this juice would be good to drink in the morning. For me, I'd juice it, then chill it, then drink it with a wedge of lime.
For the Beet Juicer, first juice the beets and carrot, then juice the pear, lime and ginger. Mix together, chill and drink. You'll end up with enough juice for 2 servings. I would not recommend keeping juice in the refrigerator for more than one day.
Another drink that will put you in the pink, is the Passion Juice Fizz. Rich in antioxidants, calcium, vitamin C and vitamin E, plus phytochemicals that protect the heart and enzymes that are good for the digestive system, this pink fizz is good for you! A splash of mineral water speeds up the absoprtion of the nutrients. The flavors of freshly made juiceĀ are much more intense and satisfying than those in the carton. So be prepared to wake up your taste buds, bud!
Passion Juice Fizz contains 1 pomegranate, 1/2 small orange, 4 passion fruit, and 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 oz of sparkling mineral water. (I use Perrier.) You'll need to peel rhe rind from the pomegranate and peel the orange, leaving on the white pith. Scoop the flesh from the passion fruit. Juice the pomegranate with the orange and pulp from 3 passion fruit. Pour into a glass and stir in the remaining passion fruit pulp. Top up with the mineral water and serve. I drink all of this cold.
Last but not least, another waker upper instead of coffee, ok, quit whining, along with your coffee, is the combination of 1 orange, 1 large sprig of fresh mint, and 7 oz of cantalope melon flesh. This Wide-Eyed Orange drink is light and refreshing and packed with vitamin C. Melon juice is diuretic and rich in healing beta-carotene. The aromatic oils in the mint aid and soothe the digestion and help to calm the nerves, which is essential in my life. The mint also helps with a fresher breath.
Peel the chilled orange, leaving on the white pith. Juice the orange, mint, and cold melon. Pour into glasses and serve with sprigs of mint to enhance the aroma.
If these three juicers don't put hair on your chest if you need it, or zip in your step if you want it, and pizzazz in your what's it, nothing will. (Hey, I'm just sayin...)
I bet you'll come back asking for more juicers! Knock Loudly, I'm in the kitchen!

I love fresh juices. I have tried so many but not these. Wow beets I never thought of them. I am very curious now to try it, I am not scared to give it a go LOL
It's a stronger taste, but earthy and enticing. I hope you like it, the other ingredients are critical so it won't be so strong. enjoy!!!
Well I like Borsch that is a beetroot salad, lol, so why not beet juice I do declare ROFL
ahahah tis an acquired taste I believe....at least for me, but the health benefits are important. sigh. why can't it taste like grape juice, my favorite besides vegetable juice V8. Do you have V8 there? veggie tomato juice? yummy but has lots of salt...
Nice! I got a Fruit(censored) via Penny Arcade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Penny_Arcade_ ;D
Meh, might not be your taste, but I just want to make you smile. =P
Anyway, yeah...the best juices I like to digest are ciders. ;) And hard ones, at that!
I'm glad I found you here. I'm reading several of your writings and they make sense. I really like these about natural juices and health. Your foster parent story also was inspiring. Good Luck to you.
Hey, Lee, I'm glad you stopped by, come back soon!! =)
Another great hub to read and bookmark. Keep it up!
Great info. Thank you. The aging process has definately been a wake up call, in terms of how to preserve the last remnants of good health.
