Driver's Road Test Practice And Preparation
69Ohh boy!!! the big day is almost here. You are starting to get nervous; palms and face are sweating. You will have to get in the car and drive with your personal evaluator. He is going to watch your every move and evaluates your driving skills, if you are worth giving a drivers license. Whewwww. That's a lot of pressure.
Don't WORRY. You can pass this.
The driver's road test is the last obstacle that you will have to get over to get your Driver's license. What's going to happen that day is the evaluator will going to ride with you in your car and evaluate your driving skills. This is the time you show his what you have learned and practiced. This experience can be nerve wracking. I can just remember myself during my test. I was so nervous. I was sweating so hard and it was winter that time here in southern california. Hehe.
The evaluator will have you go through a short routine, like making sure that your signal and brake light are working perfectly. So, make you before you leave the house, you check them. It would be really disspointing to be force to resechedule just because of a broke signal or brake light.
After the short routine, you will hit the road. Always, remember to use your signal lights all the time, in the right time. You might also be asked to signal using you hands. This is test you, if you know how to use hand signals, if your signal lights don't work. Remember, remember to do hand signals just like how the teach you in the book.
Your evaluator will ask you to do maneuvers like changing lanes, turn left, turn right and merge with other traffic. Remember to use your rear-view mirror and look over your shoulders to check your blindspot when you do these maneuvers. This will show your evaulator that you know where the surrounding cars are. Also, keep in mind, to stay within the speed limit all the time.
The evaluator will give you instructions, so also pay attention to him.
The hardest part of the evaluation probably will be the parallel parking lot. Your evaluator may not ask you to do this, however, there is always that chance that he will. So, Practice it. You can go practice in a deserted parking area and practice.
The evaluator might also ask you to back up, make a three-point turn and park on a hill or a downhill.
Then, the next thing you'll know the test will be over and you will have earned your driver's license. WHOHOOOO!!!
