Drop A Few Pounds Quickly and Simply
60Everyone always wants to know "how can I lose a few pounds quickly and easily. "Easy" really isn't part of the equation. That seems unfair, I know, since it's "easy" to put the pounds on!
Don't panic! Losing weight doesn't have to be a major undertaking! Start with just a few pounds or kilos and go from there!
Here's a couple of quick ideas.
1. Try a 20 minute walk first thing in the morning. Roll out of bed, throw on the sweats and WALK for 20 minutes. You can take your coffee/tea with you, if you like. Just no food before you go. (If you're like me and you like your vigorous exercise in the morning, then you should eat first, but for this purpose, no food.) I had a client years ago who would take his rechargeable shaver with him so he could save time!
2. Eat 5-6 small meals a day, rather than just 2-3. 3. Add some resistance training. Here's an easy, quick workout that will burn fat and build (some) muscle: We call it the "Desert Island Workout." All you need is an overhead tree limb!
You'll do 8 each of the following, without rest: Bodyweight squats, crunches, push-ups, reverse crunches, pull-ups (tree limb...or a bar) and squat thrusts (sometimes called burpees.) Rest for 1 minute, then do it again. Repeat 3-4 times total.
If you do all three of these things, you'll drop a few pounds in a week, without "dieting" or using some "cleanse" product. Good, clean eating and old-fashioned exercise.
Huh, who would have thought that would work? Me, that's who; and hopefully, you, now!
