Review of Drop Dead Diva

Drop Dead Diva airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on the Lifetime Channel.

The new dramedy about a beautiful but uninspiring model wannabe named Deb, (played by Brooke D'Orsay) who has a fatal car accident and suddenly finds herself in front of Heaven's gatekeeper, Fred, (played by Ben Feldman) who declares her as a selfish human.

The furious Deb attempts to convince Fred to return her to her superficial life but is accidentally switched to the body of the recently deceased Jane Bingum (played by Brooke Elliott). A prominent, chivalrous and plus-size attorney with a devoted assistant, Terri Lee (played by Margaret Cho).

Jane has always lived in the shadow of her more attractive associates. And Deb has always relied on her gorgeous looks. So Deb must come to grips with living in Jane’s plus-size body in the challenge between brains and looks.

I've read a lot of reviews about this show and I have read nothing but positive reviews about this new show. In my opinion I think it's the best show of the summer. Even though the producers have made 13 episodes, I think this will go on for a few seasons. Maybe even picked up by another network.

Celebrities such as Rosie O'Donnell, Paula Abdul, Liza Minnelli, Sean Maher and many, many more that will be playing a guest star role in one of the future shows.

Josh Berman - Executive Producer/Creator/Writer

Alex Taub - Executive Producer

Craig Zadan & Neil Meron - Executive Producers
