Drunken Olympic Games
56Whew, the end to a fun packed holiday weekend is finally here. I'm here to tell you :)
I had some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. My cousins and friends came to visit for memorial day. It was a blast. We spent Friday just hanging out, that was cool because we hadn't seen each other for a long time. Saturday, we woke, went to the flea market (LOL) then some of us went to the carnival. I didn't make it there because my van was overheating... I came back home and visited hubpages for a few. Then I started cooking for our luau. We had all kinds of good stuff to eat and drink.
We made some sort of hawiian drink. It contained beer, vodka and lemonade. I'm not a beer drinker but it was good. I had three of those before 6pm. At about 10pm, the kids all went to bed, then the real fun started.
First, head rushes... I had never done this before and after watching, I was concerned that I wouldn't last through this game. However, I did ok :) My friend tried it for the first time and she wore most of it. I'm not sure how to explain the head rush game, other than telling you we attached a little piece of plastic around the outside of the beer bottle, it kind of looked like a big fat straw with another small straw coming from the side of it. Then we CHUG...
Next we played beer pong. I liked this game. At, first I was pretty good. I didn't come close to winning either, but I felt like a winner anyway :) I think this game got about 10 bud light lime's in me. We started out with 10 pong balls and ended up with only two. Still have no idea where they went. Maybe we ate them, no one present seems to remember. Go figure.
Then flip cup. This one was fun, I would try to explain it but I was too far gone to understand the rules. I just drank when they told me to. Eventually, I lost count of my intake.
After all that, there was more games the others partook in, but I wasn't able. I was ummm.... way past tipsy, nearly passed out in the coleman camping chair. I hear the jungle gym from the kid's playground was involved. I wish I could have played that game too. Oh well, maybe next time :)
I had wayy too much. I'm not a drinker. I drink, but never have more than a few at a time. In fact, I have only been "drunk" two times in my whole life... tipsy a few times. They called me the lightweight after I had to be pulled from my own vomit and escorted to bed. Thank God for good friends, right?
The next morning, my kids were awake at 8am. I don't remember what time exactly I made it to bed. I think probably after 3. All I knew, I had a headache from Hell and I was having a hard time pretending I was glad to see their chipper smiles that early in the morning.
I downed about 800 mg of ibuprofen, made them breakfast and headed out to see what the damage was from the night before. My first thought was OMG. I had puked everywhere and I was the one going to have to clean it up. I had felt some better until I started. Then smells from the night prior were bringing back feelings as well... sick feelings.
I made it through the clean up. I got it all finished alone while the rest of the gang continued to sleep their wild night off. Finally, at around 2pm they rolled out of bed and thanked me for cleaning it all. I guess it was worth it just to see their smiling faces. I was also thanked repeatedly for keeping my children outside playing for that long... "how did you do it?" LOL. My girls are early risers and they think everyone else should be too. Stay over once and you will see for yourself.
The rest of the weekend was a blast too, no drinking involved after Saturday though. We went four wheeling, shopping, we had 2 cook-outs and just enjoyed everyone's company until they had to go back home this evening. I'm going to miss those guys, but I look forward to seeing them again.... I decided next time, I'm not going to hit the bottles so hard... or at least I'm going to stick to one poison. I think the mixed drinks and the beer did me in.
Anyway, that was my weekdend in case you guys wondered where I have been LOL (as if I'm that important, I like to flatter myself)

I was supervised.... and they said they were going to train me, but I don't think I'm up for that. I think I'm done.
Ah, the morning after... nice aunt it. Thats why I'm with you, one in a while over indulge, then off for a really long time... Glad you enjoyd.
Now this is my husband's side of the family reunions. Much better than the alternative.
Beer pong is fun, but I'd be interested in the jungle gym thing....
I vaguely remember a lot of nights of flip cup and beer pong! Details are fuzzy, but I know it was a lot of fun!!! Thanks for the memory!
If I would have gone to the jungle gym laughing mom, I think I probably would have hurt myself.
Glad you had a great weekend FeeFee, we deff missed ya though. Great hub, enjoyed it ; )
Excellent weekend fulla beer and friends. Excellent!
Ok am logged on as me, nice one Fee, missed you though.
I missed you all too... it was fun though to actually have a life beyond hubpages. Not sure I can handle that too many times though.
Ahhhhh, beer pong.... I almost forgot the joy of that game!
Hey fee! You probably would have been okay. Usually drunk, you fare better than sober. Only way to play on a jungle gym if you ask me!
LOL laughing mom, Maybe you are right. I had exhausted myself that night... maybe next time
A weekend with friends is always great. You did good with the kids! My youngest grandchildren get up with the sun! When their mum has a night out, I try to get them dressed fed and outside as quietly as possible in the morning. With three of them, it is a lot of fun! My daughter appreciates the recovery time.
I can't imagine a drink with Beer, Vodka and Lemonaide...that sounds disgusting. In Las Vegas there are casino's that actually have Beer Pong; pretty wierd.

Alcohol is not to be played with unless proper training and supervision has been provided.
