Dry Skin - Natural Skin Care Range
69I happen to have very dry, sensitive skin, particularly on my face. over the years, I must have wasted hundreds of pounds searching for the perfect moisturiser, mostly without success.
It is recommended that before buying, you test a moisturiser on the tender skin on the inside of your wrist. Well, I would diligently do that and all would seem fine, only for my skin to erupt in scaly, red patches a few days into using the new cream, which would then be consigned to the dustbin.
However, at last, I've finally found two ranges of natural skin care products that are really worth buying. The first is a small, family-run company, and the latter, a larger commercial enterprise. I have tried all manner of their products, and have never had problems iwth sensitivity. Price-wise, neither is too expensive, and both have a website and will mail products out to the customer.
B Natural
B Natural is a small, family-run company situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall in the southwest of England. Their website says that the only use old country recipes, all natural ingredients and that they make their products from scratch, rather than buying in ready made bases and adding to them as some companies do. They also try to source local ingredients wherever possible, which has to be good for the planet.
I first encountered their range of products in the gift shop on Exeter Quays, and tried the Rose moisturiser, and have also bought items from Tavistock Pannier Market, which is a place worth a visit in itself.
B Natural Products
The company offers a full facial skincare range, including cleansers toners and moisturisers. I can vouch for their Aloe Vera moisturiser, which is extremely soothing, and which I use when my skin is at its worst. Although very enriching, the cream sinks into the skin well, and doesn't make my face look shiny, so I'm happy to use it both day and night until my skin settles down. Previously, my only option would be to use steroid cream, but since discoveering this range, the steroids have remained on the shelf!
When I'm over my flare up (which since using this skin care range have become few and far between), I usually switch to the Rose moisturiser, which smells wonderful.

B Natural also make a baby care range, which I havn't used, as my lot are now hulking great teenagers, muscle and joint cream, which is great for aches and pains, tea Tree Cream, for all things needing antiseptic, and an after-shave balm, which I also havn't used for obvious reasons!
The Company also do gift packs, of two items, and I was particularly taken by their Gardener's Gift Pack, which contains a jar of Lemon Barrier Cream and Beeswax Hand and Foot Cream. Having tried several of their other products I feel confident that I could use these without any ill effects, so am putting this one on my Christmas list (if any of my family is reading!).

Green People
The second natural skincare company whose products really suit sensitive skin is Green People. The Company was founded by Charlotte, for her daughter Sandra, who had severe eczema. Charlotte began making her own natural products, and Sandra'seczema cleared up.
They are a much larger company than B Natural, and again avoid synthetic chemicals and fragrances, using only natural products.
They have quite a big range, including: skincare, hair and body care, and I can especially recommend their Rosemary Shampoo and Aloe Vera Shampoo. When they say a little goes a long way, they mean it! Green People also have a babies and children's range, sun care range and a dental range (including a toothpaste for sensitive teeth).
There is little to choose between the two companies, except to say that they both have fantastic products. Green People's stuff is more snazzily packaged, but I like the fact that B Natural's products come in glass jars, not plastic. Also, wherever possible, I like to help the little guy, especially when they have products as good as these.
