North America and Europe are taking a back seat in all this. Dubai uses American and European engineers to do this. They are smart investing for the future and want to be the global centerpiece. With $100 a barrel, it is easy for them.
It is so true that we (The USA) are falling behind in the world. Dubai is smart to be doing these projects. They have the backing of many VERY wealthy Americans, in terms of investing in that country. America needs something great like this.
Thanks Adventure, Rich will get richer in the world with schemes like that.
The bridge looks awesome! i wonder what their theme parks are like! Quite a ride i would imagine!
This is completely amazing. How much land and water are In Dubai? They must have their own planet.
Hi C, they have a big Disney Land in Dubai, that is also a massive project. They are very shrewd investing for the future.
Patty, they are not a very big place, that might be the reason for all these sky scrapers, also the population is not huge either. Most of the population are construction workers, they usually leave after the buildings are finished. They have plenty of money for a limited land.
Interesting;)
I guess I need to put Dubai in my list of places to go ;-)
Yes Princessa, it is a must place to see, I think it will be one of premier vacation destination, once they finish all this construction.
I remember seeing a bit on Diggnation's podcast where they looked at all the concept designs for Dubai's future buildings and it's insane! That place is going to be amazing in a few years. They say something like most of the world's skyscraper cranes are in Dubai.Great Hub by the way :)
Thanks Junkster, Hubpages is saying this article is over promotional. All I am trying to share innovation in the world. I don't live in Dubai, I live in the US, what is the benefit I am getting by writing an article about Dubai. All I am trying to say is we should have similar projects like this in the US.

Thanks Puneet.
Dubai will always remain one of the most hot spots in the middle east and in Asia.

Dubai is totally nuts and I love them :) That project with those thousand islands and all their other projects are jaw dropping.
