Duck Hunting Videos

Watching duck hunting videos is a great way to bide your time during the offseason.  It is also a great way to pick up great tips and tricks that you can use on your next outing into the duck blind.  While it isn't nearly as good as being there yourself it definitely does bring the duck marsh into your living room.  In addition to the great tips and tricks, it is a great way to learn about exotic and far away hunting destinations for future planning or just plain knowledge.  Learn about what makes North Dakota duck hunting so great, or why you should consider saving those pennies and making a trek to South America to chase ducks.

Teal Duck Hunting In MInnesota

Minnesota Teal Hunting

Hold on for some fast and furious teal hunting in Minnesota.  Nestled in a back water pond in northern Minnesota, these guys find their way into a mess of teal.  Notice the way they have a great variety of decoys including some very prominent goose decoys.  The teal are just dive bombing their spread and it leads for some fast high quality shooting.

Argentina Duck Hunting

Argentina Duck Hunting

Here is a somewhat long clip about Argentina Duck Hunting.  Hunting down in South America is a treat unto itself.  The bag limits are generous and the ducks are available in easily huntable numbers.  You can even take part in the word renowned dove hunting as part of your stay.  As can be seen in the video there is a large variety of duck that are not indiginous to North America or for what the majority of hunters in the USA have ever seen before.  For that reason it becomes a bit of a "safari" type feel in addition to the rush often felt while hunting ducks.

North Dakota Duck Hunting

North Dakota Duck Hunting

The duck hunting in North Dakota can be fantastic, and this video shows why.  Nestled in among a chopped corn field these hunters pick out drakes as they come cruising by.  Notice the excellent use of the spinning winged decoys to bring the birds in close and personal for high quality shots.  This particular hunt happens out in the field and not on the water as is the usual formula that most duck hunters employ.  While a different game, the results can be equally or more impressive than hunting on the water.

Bowhunting Ducks in Flooded Timber

Bow Hunting Ducks?

I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes, but here is a group of guys hunting flooded timber with archery equipment.  Look at how close the ducks are coming in to allow for quality shots with a bow.  This is what green timber hunting is all about, although most people prefer to use a shotgun!

I thought I'd heard it all, but Bowhunting for Ducks? Never heard of that one!

By the way, my favorite duck hunting video's are the Duck Commander series. I love Phil, especially the first couple video's he made. The latest ones aren't near as entertaining as the first.
