The Best Duets Around
There are many great songs out there on the radio and all over, and I've notice a lot of them are duets. From Dusty Springfield and Daryl Hall's "Where Ever Would I Be" to Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks' "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around". I enjoy duets, not too much the sappy ones but if it sounds good it gets my attention. I have gone through a list of some pretty tasteful duets, including the best duet by none other than, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway.
Roberta and Donny were the best duet. Donny Hathaway was such a talent. A real good duet, as my personal favourite "Where Is The Love". I love that song so much. Another great duet I heard was Eric Clapton and Daryl Hall, a song called "No Alibis". If you have not heard that one check it out. It sounds great I love how Eric's style just compliments Daryl's great voice. There are just so many and so I found another little gem. If you like Suzi Quatro you may have heard of the song, "Stumblin' In" with Chris Norman. I like a lot of Suzi's music and she usually has some heavy rock songs but she sang this one really good.
Now I know I mentioned in another hub about great cover songs, but there have been some covers as duets, Including the Best female singer, Ann Wilson and one of the Best male singers Roger Daltrey. They sang my favourite Led Zeppelin song "Kashmir". I'm not sure though if Nancy Wilson (Heart) sang on that song as well so I'll consider it Heart and Roger Daltrey. I also love Ike and Tina Turner's "Proud Mary". Also last but not Least, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, from their album "Raising Sand" they have a real good song called "Gone Gone Gone". I love that and their voices blend so well.
Aside from duets already done I thought I should mention a few duets that need to be done. Let's start with : Daryl Hall and Nancy Wilson (Heart). Nancy has such a beautiful voice and so does Daryl. I think it would be great for them to do a duet, both of those talents on the stage, I would love to see that. Another great duet would include Robert Plant and Ann Wilson, but I want to hear them do "Going To California" or an original song of their own would be nice. That would also be great to hear. It would be great to hear a duet from Sheryl Crow and Roger Daltrey. I know they sang together before, but it would be so interesting to listen to or even see. (It might even be better if all of these singers I've just mentioned would go and sing together too, but we're talking duets here.)
Unfortunately I couldn't find Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway's "Where is the Love" and Eric Clapton and Daryl Hall's "No Alibis". So I've found "Proud Mary" (Ike and Tina Turner) "Stumblin' In" (Suzi Quatro and Chris Norman) and "Gone Gone Gone" (Robert Plant and Alison Krauss) These are some great songs though. Enjoy! (If you know any other great duets please comment.)
