70KEY HELPFUL INGREDIENTS
GREAT TIME WITH FOOTBALL STARTING EASY STEAK QUESDILLAS
Ingredients
3- Lbs of steak any kind
1-Medium bell pepper any color chopped
1-Medium red onion chopped
2- Lbs of Mexican blend of cheese
1-Package of fajita dry mix 3 ounces
¼ stick of butter
Salt & pepper
Olive oil 4 ounces
1-large pack of floured tortillas
4-ounces of salsa
4-ounces of sour cream
1- Ripe avocado
Preparing the steak
Lets take the steak and the fajita mix , put into a large freezer bag adding 2 ounces of olive oil, salt and pepper, shake the bag well and put in the ice box, for about an hour to marinate.
Now let’s take a skillet pan, add your marinated steak , with about 2 mores ounces of olive oil to the pan, cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, try not to over cook steak it will cook more in the floured tortillas.
Place cooked steak off to the side for cooling, next with the same pan add your chopped bell pepper and your red onion over a medium heat, adding more salt and pepper, cook until both are soft, once there all cooked place in a bowl off to the side.
Cut cooled off steak into small diced pieces, place into a bowl for later assembling.
Assembling and cooking quesadillas
You will need a large flat skillet pan or a electric griddle, put a small amount of butter in pan, for each batch of quesadillas, this will add a nice butter flavor to your floured tortillas.
on a low to medium heat take one of your floured tortilla and add some steak to one side of the tortilla, next add some of your cooked peppers and onions, followed by a nice handful of you Mexican blend cheese, and fold in half.
Carefully place in heated pan, press down firmly , and cook for about 3 to 6 minutes on both side, until there’s a nice brown color on each side, tip if your family doesn’t like peppers or onions simply don’t add them, that’s the great part about cooking and assembling, rather than cooking all the peppers and onions and chicken in one pan.
Now in a small bowls add your salsa, and your sour cream, I like to keep off to the side in case someone doesn’t like that, also cut up your avocado and mash with salt and pepper, add a few drops of olive oil and stir up and put in a bowl.
I like to peel my quesadillas open and add all three items and fold back and chow, this is great with a nice rice side dish, but that’s for another time, this recipe will serve about 2 to 3 adults if you having more people just double up my ingredients.
(Cost is about 8.00 dollars)
