'A friend is someone who reaches out for your hand... and touches your heart'
Honesty it the truth that counts,
For lies, make crooked minds,
For relationships with honesty,
Are the most rewarding kind.
Listening is a precious gift,
To let the troubled talk,
For endless, selfish chaffer,
Is a one-man way to walk?
Compassion is a beacon,
To those whose lives are bleak,
It is a genuine sense of caring,
A softer way to speak.
Giving is a virtue,
For which is onward going,
A desire to inspire,
A thoughtful way of showing.
A humbleness of spirit,
Will spare a man his life,
It will make a man say sorry,
When he has caused such strife.
Tenderness is fetching,
A concern for others thoughts,
For trust takes time and effort,
It never can be bought.
Respect for others values,
Their morals, thoughts and plans,
To raise up understanding,
Of every precious man.
When these seven virtues speak,
A friendship lasts forever,
Two closely knitted hearts,
Will always stay together.

sorry i read one of your comments...no. 7 according to the Old Testament...is the number of completion and beauty and perfection. It is the day God rested after creating the earth. It is the number of menorahs (each with 7 candelabras) that are in the jewish temple. There are many more 7 numbers. Numbers in the old testament are full of meaning...it is fascinating.
