I was listening to Radio 1 this morning and a guest on the show revealed that they were in the process of creating a photographic diary over the period of one year. I have never bought into the idea of keeping a diary, something to do with the fact that I have no interest in re-reading what I have don’t in the past, but photos are a different story.

What with mobile phones being able to take high quality photos on the go, and having plenty of internal storage this is no great technological feat and would not take any planning. One consideration however is that I have a tendency to destroy mobile phones, seriously, I have been through about 4 this year. I have to say taking a couple of seconds to snap something you encounter, experience or endure is hardly a chore is it!? And the finished product would be really great – Providing I do plenty of interesting stuff that is!

So my plan is . . .

. . . as of the first of January 2010 is to take one photograph that represents each day and to post it to my Twitpic account, @climberjames. This way not only are my pictures backed up online but friends and family, both far and near, can check out what I'm up to throughout 2010. Plus! If I'm skint come next Christmas I could always get them printed on the cheap and give them as a present to the folks ;D
