Hubpages are higly ranked at Search Engines and your page is viewed and read not only by hubpage members but others who happen to do searching through keywords. This is the call for these non-members to join HubPages and earn money by writing simple articles at Hubpages.
There are people who have joined Google's Adsense program as publishers, not all of them have read the Google's Adsense policy. Having not read the policy they end up committing mistakes here and there and get banned themselves. Since joining to AdSense program is FREE you can't question if they ban you.
There is an easy way for you to not get banned and not to read the adsense policies at all.
All you have to do is instead of creating webpages and websites, blogs etc you can create hubs at Hubpages with the same result but without getting banned from Google's Adsense. Though the profit here is shared between you and the hubpage owners.
At hubpages you need not even go for putting your Adsense in every page of your hubs, the Adsense advertisement is automatically shown in your hubpages. All that you have to do is to activate you Adsense and allow Adsense to show their advertisements in you hubs.
You need not go out there making hundreds of blogs and hundreds of webpages and put your Adsense there to earn money. We know that Adsense pays for clicks and impressions. These blogs and webpages that you have created should get the traffic to generate impressions and clicks. To generate traffic if you join some traffic sites and if you put these blogs and webpages in those traffic sites this again will be against Adsense policies. So the best and easy way to earn money and also the traffic for it without joining any traffic sites is to create Hubs in Hubpages. You can write anything in hubpages, any article, story and reviews etc. Instead of writing and creating a blog or webpage you can write in Hubpages. Hubpages create's traffic, all hubpages are higly ranked with search engines, hence if you tag your hubs then people will visit your hubpages through search engines by keying in keywords. Hence tagging your hubs with keywords is important.

There is another policy Google are very strict on and that is not allowing any Google images or extracts being placed on pages you are using for adsense. A mistake I sadly made as that domain, not page, whole domain was no longer allowed to be served adsense. Even though it was not intentional, but you're right, there are soooooo many rules and regulations to read. I guess if adsense is misused on hubpages then you will get banned from here!
Here in hubpages we should drive the traffic through social sites and by mutual comments and viewing to get earned. Apart from that we should not enter into any adventurous things.
Great Hub. Doesn't Hubpages force you to create an AdSense account when you sign up though? Unfortunately, I still haven't made any money at all. I guess I'm still not fully noticed nor experienced as of now though, as I've only been joined for about 2 days.

I have written several hubs and have gotten page 1 rank on google for almost every one of them, have lots of fans and traffic and NOT one cent form adsense. I think even the everyday surfers who know nothing of internet marketing have gotten wise to those adds and often times they are more of an annoyance than a money generating venue. Also on my websites I never put adsense anymore, because it runs according to content on the page and so they put competing adds which just take people away from my site and products.
My2cents you are correct in a way that the impressions that is generated on page views never gets itself converted to cents. It is only the clicks and the impressions together generate cents.

@easegiri: I do have an adsense account, all i am saying is that I personally don't make any money, which is okay since I am not really in it for the money. If I really wanted to write for money, I'd start a blog and get several affiliate programs going where you get paid on commision of who you refer. If somebody you refer buys 100 dollars in a product/products, you could make anywhere from 20 to 100 percent of that sell.
tms94 I did try the idea of having a website with all products in it. But could not make even a single sale. Your idea of utilising this site just for sharing your thoughts is correct, our aim should not get distracted with an eye on the money earned through adsense which is very miniscule compared to the hard works put in.

All i have read from this page is very very useful to me more so as a starter. I have written some few hubs and will continue to write as much as i can to increase my readers interest in my articles.
I also will try to diversify to other areas of interest aside from my career area ,which is my main interest area for now. All the same thank you for this info.
Though I completely agree with this article that forking out money from displaying Adsense, I don't use them for my hubs at this time. Not yet. Not until I get a decent organic traffic. I don't allow hubpages by disabling it in my G Adsense account. The clicks are there but I won't get anything. Can't tell you the logic behind my intention, but I have this feeling that only those who came to my hubs from search engines would ever click the ads.
I read somewhere about G "smart pricing" concept. I have other blogs that have been earning money from Adsense and most of the traffics came from search engines.
I'll wait till my hubs managed to get somewhere in the SERPS for at least two or three different keywords before I allow adsense ads to be displayed on my hubs.
