Preventative Hair Loss Remedies

For many men, the fear of suddenly having thinning or receding hair is their worst nightmare. It sums up a loss of their looks and a step nearer to middle age even if only in their twenties. This is an understandable reaction although many men look much better with cropped or a shaven head and the loss of their hair will not make them any less confident or attractive to the opposite sex.

Whilst there medical treatments to try and replace hair loss, it is far easier and less expensive to go the more natural route and try some traditional remedies. Certainly natural remedies will be less painful and are more convenient. They also lack the side-effects which may be associated with other treatments.

Essential oils and herbal preparations are renowned for their effectiveness with dealing with hair loss and they can be used in preventative measures as well as for healing.

Irrespective of the preparation that you choose, it is worth remembering that healing is greatly accelerated by gently massaging the scalp as this begins the stimulation of the hair follicles.

There are many natural remedies available and it is worth trying these first and seeing if they are successful for you:

Rosemary and Sage

Boil the herbs together and this make a rinse that helps to promote hair growth. Strain the water and then use once you have finished shampooing. This herbal rinse is said to help stimulate the hair follicles.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a renowned healer and when used in hair care treatments, can help to restore the balance of the scalp PH level. It also can aid the promotion of normal hair growth by activating enzymes within the body if it is applied directly to the scalp.

Egg

Use raw egg yolk and massage onto the scalp. Leave it for approximately one hour and then wash out thoroughly.

Olive Oil

Olive oil has been reputed to be useful in the fight against hair loss for many years. Mix 2 tablespoons of oil with an egg yolk, lemon juice and rosemary. This should be added to the hair roots and left for approximately twenty to thirty minutes and then washed thoroughly.

Meditation

Worry can aggravate a hair loss condition and so it is important to ease away any stress and fears and this can be done simply and effectively by learning some basic meditation techniques. Whilst this can be a preventative treatment, inner healing can also be increased by practising a healing meditation.
