Self–Help Remedies to Ease Tonsillitis Pain

Tonsillitis is a common condition which consists of a sore throat with the added difficulty of swallowing, a headache and even a fever. The condition can also leave the sufferer to feel weak and experiencing pain throughout the body. Tonsillitis often has tale-tell spots on the actual tonsils which will be red and inflamed.

The tonsils become enlarged and enflamed because toxins are prevented from being eliminated from the body either through the kidneys, bowels or the skin. This means that these throat conditions can be the result of extreme constipation and the toxins can then enter the bloodstream.

Tonsillitis is a nasty condition which can affect anyone, medication is available however, but there are also lots of natural remedies which can be incorporated in a self-help regime at home, for example:

Lime

Lime is an extremely effective treatment in the fight against tonsillitis and is very simple to prepare. Simply squeeze a fresh lime into a glass of warm water, add four teaspoons of honey and also a pinch of salt and ensure that the liquid is sipped slowly.

Cider Vinegar

When the tonsils become swollen, make a concoction of one teaspoon of cider vinegar into warm water. Also, add one spoonful of honey and drink this often. If the cider vinegar taste and odour can be stomached, then also use as a gargle.

Vegetable juice

Combine carrot, beetroot and cucumber juice and drink regularly. If using a combination, then 300 ml of carrot juice to 100 ml of beetroot and cucumber juice.

Propolis
