I am always on the hunt for new Christmas decorations for my home. My tastes change each year and with each Christmas my collection of decorations grows. To solve the issue of satisfying my constantly changing tastes and my ever-decreasing amount of storage space, I created these greenery projects. I can remove the embellishments from the previous year, should my color scheme change over the course of 365 days. Nothing is permanent and that is fantastic.
Enough brainstorming...let's get to crafting!
Candle Centerpiece
Supplies:
-- Greenery or pre-assembled greenery candelabra
-- Christmas ornaments
-- Silk poinsettias
-- Silver or gold leaves
-- Holly berries
-- Christmas embellishments
-- Tapered candles
-- Glue gun & glue sticks
Directions:
Start your centerpiece by locating a pre-assembled double candle stand with greenery attached. If you cannot find one, or if you choose to make your own, that works, too. Either way, prepare your greenery to your liking and get ready to accessorize.
Place your embellishments in place before you glue them to your Christmas craft. After you have arranged your trinkets to your liking, use your glue gun to adhere them to the greenery around your candlesticks. Be sure to keep everything low enough so as not to be a hazard when your candles are lit in the stand.
Being that my china is silver and white, I chose to make my centerpiece silver and white in order to coordinate with my silver, frosty table setting. I used silver twigs, silver leaves, and a fabulous silver and white bird that I was lucky enough to find on sale.
I hope you've taken the time to find the perfect embellishments for your Christmas craft projects this season. Once you've gotten it all together, be sure to enjoy your crafts while you serve your friends and family a perfect Christmas dinner.
