It's what everyone that needs to lose a few pounds is looking for, a fast easy way to lose belly fat. But does that really exist? There are a lot of myths floating around about losing belly fat. Most of them are complete hogwash. There are good reasons for people to believe these myths though. All the media and commercials try to sell all these crazy new ab machines that don't really work. Every time I turn on the tv I see some new crazy ab workout or ab gadget.

The biggest question that people often ask is "How do I lose fat from my belly first?" People often think that it is possible to target fat loss to a specific area of the body. That is simply not the case. There is no way to target fat loss to the belly area. There is also no way to target fat loss from the thighs or hips either. Instead it is necessary to concentrate on fat loss in general. Unfortunately, the belly is sometimes the last place to lose the fat. Now there are ways to target muscle gains in certain areas but that is a lot different from fat loss.

Most people often think the best thing to do is concentrate on nothing but abdominal exercises. However, this is not the fastest way to lose belly fat. The fastest way to lose belly fat and just fat in general is to concentrate on core body weight exercises like squats and lunges. These type of resistance exercises challenge all the muscles in your body. Total body workouts are the key.


Another great way to lose belly fat fast is to incorporate high intensity interval training into your workout regimen. This is one of the other big misconceptions on fat loss. Most people think that they need to do hours and hours of cardio workouts to lose belly fat. The truth is though that slow boring cardio workouts do not challenge your body enough to stimulate fat loss. Interval training, like weight training, challenges the muscles which enables them to continue burning calories and fat long after your workout is over. This is the biggest key to lose belly fat fast.Your muscles continue to burn calories and fat as they regenerate after a workout.
