Is Easy Google Profits and Google Treasure Chest a Scam?

There is a new series of home business programs out right now that are promising the average Joe serious money for working with Google. These programs are being advertised on a plethora of "Blogs" being advertised heavily on Google.

The reason that blogs is in quotations is because these are not real blogs run by real people. They are just cleverly crafted advertisements designed to get you to purchase kits like Easy Google Profit. They're also not functioning blogs as the comments on them are fake and no new ones can be added. Also these blogs all use the same template and the stories on them have been used multiple times across thousands of different domains.

Moreover, clever is more of an understatement in this case as the creators of these fake blogs use sophisticated tactics to trick people into signing up for Easy Google Profits. For instance one tactic that works incredibly well is an IP based script that they run which changes the location of where the "author" of the blog is from to match your IP address.

For those who have never heard of this what this means is that when you visit the fake blog from your home computer it will automatically change the blog to read my name is so and so from ( insert your home town). Basically, everyone who reads these blogs no matter where they are from will be under the impressions that the owner is from their town.

This is a common sales tactic used to induce a feeling of familiarity and trust which ultimately leads to more sales for Easy Google Profit. What's scary is that this is just the tip of the iceberg of the deception perpetrated here.

When people do actually purchase Easy Google Profit or programs just like it they are first told that all they are paying for is a dollar and change to get access to the program. However hidden in the fine print is a disclaimer that allows the parent company, Google Treasure Chest to begin billing your credit card for $72 each month.

This has elicited unbelievable out rage from people who were unaware of this policy, in fact many poor folks have been facing overdraft charges because they were unaware of the impending charges.

This scam has swept the Internet and what makes it even more diabolical is that as the months go on and more and more bloggers and Internet watch sites catch on their shenaningans all they do is simply change the name of the program, and the process starts all over again.

This why it's important to keep your head on your shoulders and research opportunities that come your way. Once you see that one is a scam it becomes even easier to spot the rest.

Additonal Easy Google Profit reviews reveal comments from hundreds of people who have been financially harmed by these scams, some of the comments span 2 pages, all full of good folks sharing their horror stories.

I know that as I'm typing this sentence new variations are being pushed on unsuspecting browsers so just remember to look for tell tale signs of a scam and you will be OK.

The fake blogs promoting these scams all have idiotic names like joshgetsmoney.com or nickgetsgreen.com so anything following this pattern should be avoided. And the kits themselves try to use Google in their titles and usually claim that you can get their kit for just one dollar.

Follow these tips and you will keep your money safe.

- Brian Armstrong

Example of the fake blogs promoting these scams

There are thousands of these blogs they have the same template and the same story, the owners just the names around. So instead of Cory it will be Jason.

How to Make Money From Google

One of the best ways to prevent being scammed is to educate yourself on the real ways to make money online. What all these Google Kits are really selling is just basic affiliate marketing training. The difference is that they want you to pay out the ears for this info, even worse their info and training is basic at best.

This is why if you understand what steps need to be taken to learn income generating strategies you can avoid spending money on these hyped up programs. There are two different approaches you can take, the first is to seek out a credited source of Internet marketing training. This course of action will cost you money but you can rest assured that you are getting the best training out there.

The other method is to learn on your own all the techniques and methods needed to succeed with your own online business. The obvious drawback of this path is that you are on your own and have to research and set up all the elements using your own resources. Off course there are plenty of resources and forums online to help you but the general point is that you're on your own.

Now regardless of which path you take the basics are still the same, the essence of Internet/affiliate marketing is to provide a buying audience a product or offer that you are an affiliate for. Once they purchase or sign up you earn a commission, this is affiliate marketing at its rawest form.

There are many variations and it will be up to you to decide if you want to pursue this avenue with a website or without and a whole heap of other options. The basic gist is that you will need to learn how to drive traffic to your offers either through organic search results or paid advertising, both methods require a dedicated work ethic and important skill sets.

The overall point that I'm trying to make is that once you know what to expect you can make more educated decisions and avoid scams.

I did read the fine print on the Easy Google Profits, and there are two or three subscriptions and access sites that you have to pay for, eventually, which they offer free at first. This is what made me suspicious.

Funny that you just joined 8 days ago...about 10 days ago, I was frantically searching for information about this 'blog' type advertising when I signed up with what I thought was just a cheap intro kind of thing with just $1.97 charge for shipping and handling. It was compelling enough to see a blog of a christian mom picture with an older woman I presumed was her mother. Besides, there was this Google logo...how could I go wrong? But then, I had this gut feeling to check the actual URL where there was nothing more than the same 'blog' ad and a conspicuous lengthy disclaimer...not affiliated with Google...charges after 7 day trial...etc...and the more I googled it, the more I discovered fake similar advertising. I was able to cancel my credit card with just the S/H charges, and I feel so lucky. You beat me to writing about it. After getting all sorts of info...I didn't know from what angle to approach my writing. I know I'll get it out somehow to prevent one more gullible soul to get caught in their enticing web of.........

If I am research to see if an internet offer is legit I google the person who claimed to have had great success with a program. If the person does not show as genuine and the search gives you the same ad, guess what, it's a scam. Someone should teach some of the clueless internet users the "round about rule."

Yes, Google Biz Kit ripoffs. I tried it. Spend $2 for the DVD using my credit car. The DVD came. Nothing new that I did not know. Thought nothing more. Then, looked at my bank account. There was a charge of $72.12 from them. I called and it was for website maintenance! There was no mention of this in the offer. I called their ph at 1-888-256-4842. Customer service answered. They said they would refund it but I have to send the disk back , so I did. The address is 405 East St. 12450 South, Ste. I, Draper, Utah 84020.

I googled it and it is in a shopping center, a little office. Have not seen the refund yet.

Thats why I use free programs to make money online. Too many programs out there are scams and I won't take my chances with them. I review programs on a daily basis to let everyone else on the internet know how to make money using legitimate programs. Mozilla FireFox has been my best friend so to speak in revealing fraudulent programs and phishing attempts.

Never sign up for programs that sell themselves for low profit. If a program is legit, most likely the information provided will be worth a lot more than just 1 dollar. The way I see it, all 1 dollar programs are scams. I never paid for a program to make money online, so I can't really label every program out there. All I can do is research these programs to make sure that anyone else whose willing to make investments are safe from being scammed in the end.

Thank you for the report on this program. I actually across this program multiple times and I knew from the sorrow stories provided that it was a complete scam. How can thousands of people start making money in the same way? Stories like " I went bankrupt and started making money online" always throw me off.

How can you make money online while being bankrupt? If you don't have money, how can you pay for internet service? I may be young, but I know a lot about making money online, and I have yet to spend a dime on any product.

I know this is kind of long lol, but I had to express myself. We need more people like you to bring the truth out on these programs and inform others about them because I can't do it all on my own ("LOL") keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for your "HUB" I'm searching also for a legit way to make money on the internet. And I did run across the same blogs sounding so tempting to do. So before I took any measures first I consulted with GOD to reveal the truth about it, then I told my husband about what I wanted to do on the internet and he was okay with it. So we both prayed about it! asking GOD to reveal the scamsters! So I kept surfing the net and then GOD bless me to come across the "HUB" some of the key things to be aware of! So I must say you got to do your homework before you jump out there in the deep waters and if you purchase anything on-line it's best to get a pre-paid credit card in doing business! Therefore these ridiculus later charges won't come out of you account later on ! You can put on the credit card only the money you would like to spend. Then make sure you do your homework about what you want to do. You gave me my answers I needed. And what to be aware of while searching. Thank you "HUB" for you site it was a educational experience!

this is quite elaborate. there is a WNTV.com website full of RSS feeds vouching for this google money operation. The RSS feeds are presented like news stories from them, when they're just news feeds from different sites. I live in nyc and there is no WNTV.

that's crazy

Same with a lot of guys here, I thought it was all legit.

Saw this really compelling ad in Facebook about a mom who claims to have earned thousands from it. The interesting part that really hooked me was the $1.97 charge for the kit and shipping. Lucky for me though, I clicked on their terms and conditions and found out that my CC would be charged something like $60+ a month after just three days of free trial.

What I did was left them a message in their sort of a "comment" box and asked them to cancel my subscription right away. After a few hours, I got an email from them saying I won't be charged, not even the $1.97 initial fee. Thank goodness!
