Easy Pork Burger Recipe
70Homemade Pork Burgers
I haven't eaten red meat since I was a small child, I personally don't like the taste. If you're like me or just fancy something different from a regular burger, then a homemade Pork Burger is a great alternative. You can add many different ingredients to take them from a basic burger, to a gourmet one.
It's nice to make your own burgers, you know exactly what's gone into them with no hidden surprises. Some shop bought burgers contain a ridiculously large amount of salt which can be dangerous, especially if you eat a lot of processed foods that also contain it. At least when you make your own burgers you know that the ingredients are healthy.
These pork burgers are ideal for kids, just make them into mini burgers and watch them fly of the plate!

Making The Burgers
500g of Pork Mince made 3 HUGE bugers when I made them last, though I sometimes prefer more bite size portions, then you obviously get many more.
Heat a frying pan on high and add about 2 teaspoons of oil. I use Olive.
Place the Burgers into the hot pan.
I usually lower the heat to medium high once the burgers have started frying.
Cook for 15-20 minutes if large, turning occasionally. Reduce cooking time for patty size when smaller.

Alternative Ingredients
Onions are always a favourite, though I would suggest lightly frying them before adding them to the mix.
If you like a spicy burger you could add Chillis or Peppers. Maybe some Tabasco.
I find that most Herbs work great in these Burgers, so just add your favourite. I've not tried them yet but Spices could be interesting...
These Burgers are so versatille that you really can't go wrong so long as the basic mix is in place.
