Up until a few months ago I never realised the power of HubPages and how easy it is to make money with them.  Sure I had built a few odd hubs over the past year or so, but it wasn't until I created a random hub about Elizabeth Hasselbeck's new book and started getting some substantial traffic that I realised what I was dealing with.

So I experimented with a few ways of making money with them (I am an internet marketer after all) and found out that this wasn't a one off - in fact, set up correctly, you can rank really well with your hub and make some serious cash.

So in this hub I'll go over some of the easy ways to make money online that I've discovered using HubPages. 

So where does the cash come from?

There are actually four different ways that I've been making money with my hubs.

1. Adsense
2. Amazon
3. eBay, and
4. Promoting either my own or other people's products.

Let's go over these in a bit more detail.

I'm sure you've heard all about people making thousands a month just by adding Google Adsense to their webpages, and while I'm nowhere near that with my hubs, I do make a consistent $50 to $60 per month from adsense revenue.  Not much you say?  While that's true, adsense isn't my biggest earner as my hubs grow in age and if I build more links to them that figure is likely to increase over time, not to mention the fact that I'm likely to earn more and more every time I add more hubs to my portfolio.

By far the most money that I make is via the Amazon affiliate program. This month is going to be my best so far and I've already earned over $700 in commissions just from my hubs. That's all free traffic to hubs that rank really well in the search engines. To be fair, I'm already pretty accomplished in that area of internet marketing and made over $10,000 last Christmas with Amazon through many of my websites.

The key to making money with Amazon is to target actual product names rather than just write a random hub and stick an Amazon module on it. That way you are getting people at the end of the buying cycle and will more likely make a sale.

 I've not much made money from eBay on my hubs (only $25 this month), but that is probably because I don't really target it much.  But if you ARE interested in earning money from the eBay affiliate program then check out what people are buying at eBay pulse and again, target product names or product categories, eg. starwars toothbrushes to be successful.

and finally,

While hubs are not really designed for making traditional sales pages or blatantly spamming a page full of affiliate links (yes I've tried - I am an internet marketer after all), it is still quite easy to make sales through your hubs.  (I make a good $100 to $200 using this method).

Think of your hub similar to article marketing.  Write a good piece of content and add your links in the resource box (or in this case, anywhere on the page that you like).  Personally I like to add one link at the top right of the page, and again at the bottom of the article I've written.  You can see the layout I mean with this hub.  And yes, I know you are smart enough to realise that as well as providing good info for you, I'm also promoting a guide on how to make money with hubpages as well below. 

But it is a really good guide - otherwise I wouldn't have gone to all this trouble.  So (get ready for my pitch), if you want to learn all the easy ways to make money online using HubPages then this is a great little guide (link below) with some good video's on setting up your pages. 

It's targeted more towards beginners, so if you are already an experienced hubber you won't need it, but if you've never made any money with your hubs and want to learn more about it then you can't beat the price.
