Easy to make Calendar for 2008

If you have a large family buying calendars can prove to be quite expensive and finding the perfect calendar for family members who each have different tastes can be time consuming and stressful.

In Scotland it is considered unlucky to buy a calendar for yourself and if you receive a calendar as a gift you cannot open it or look at it before New Years day because that is also said to bring bad luck for the New Year to come.

Its very easy to make a calendar and it only takes a few minutes of your time for each one, they look good and each calendar can be suited to the taste of the recipient, they are also very inexpensive to make and you can have your children help you in this fun activity.

Go into any stationary store or craft shop and you can buy calendar tabs for 2008, whilst there buy the amount of card you will be requiring, you will find a range of colours, one of those little lipstick like glue sticks, and there you have it.

To make a calendar for your parents you can use a small family photo, line it up on your chosen piece of card and centre it stick it down with the glue stick, you can then frame the picture with another coloured piece of card glued down.

Use the same method with your other calendars, chose pictures of pets, or browse through magazines and get pictures of the recipients favourite band or movie star, you can make the frame from smaller pictures of the same band or actor.
