It's always fun to find a new Easy French Toast Recipe. Just throwing a piece of bread in a bowl of raw eggs isn't very exciting. So I am going to give you a differen easy french toast recipe to surprise your family with tomorrow. Well,maybe more than one recipe!
The first easy french toast recipe cuts back on fat by using only 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites.

Sara Lee Pound Cake French Toast
2 eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 slices frozen sara lee poundcake, thawed (3/4 inch)
3 tablespoons butter
powdered sugar
maple syrup or fresh fruit
In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream or milk, extracts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Soak pound cake slices in the mixture, making sure all sides and top are saturated. Soak 5 minutes. Heat butter in large skillet over medium to medium high heat. Fry slices until golden brown, turning once. Dust with powdered sugar, top with either maple syrup (my favorite) or fresh fruit.

Easy French Toast Recipe from about.com
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 8 slices French bread, sliced on diagonal
Preparation:
In a shallow bowl, whisk egg and egg white until foamy. Whisk in milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Have warming drawer heated or heat oven to 200°.
Heat butter in heavy skillet over medium-low heat. Dip 4 slices of bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat thoroughly. Let excess drip back into bowl.
Place coated bread slices in hot skillet. Cook, turning, until both sides are nicely browned, about 2 minutes each side.
Transfer to a warm plate and keep warm in oven. Repeat with remaining bread and egg mixture. To serve, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, if desired. Serve with maple syrup.

Easy French Toast Recipe Vegan Style from DragGreen
2 T ground flaxseed
3 T water
1 T oil
2 T maple syrup
1-2 handfuls brown sugar
1 t vanilla extract
1 banana
3/4 C soymilk
2 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
thick bread (Trader Joe's Texas Toast works nicely)
oil to grease the pan
brown sugar and cinnamon to top
Whip the flaxseed and water until thick and creamy, about a minute. Add the remaining ingredients (minus the bread) and blend to combine. Pour into a dipping dish, and dip a slice of bread into the mixture. Let sit for about 30 seconds, then flip and let sit again. Meanwhile, heat a little oil in a saucepan. Add the soaked bread. (The bread should sizzle, or the oil isn't hot enough.) As the bottom cooks, mix some brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle generously over the raw side of the bread. Flip and cook to brown. Serve with maple syrup.
