Ebel Beluga and Ebel Beluga Tonneau comprise the brand's feminine collection that employs gold, stainless steel, and diamonds. Ebel Beluga watches vaguely allude to sea shells, while the diamonds act, surprisingly, as pearls. Buoyed by such additional aquatic motifs as the wavy lines that encompass the integrated dial (and remind of seaweed), the watches claim unusual fluidity and suppleness of form. These qualities and allusions amalgamate into a style that boasts such properties as vogue durability, independence from fashion, and classic spirit.

Beluga Mini consists of appropriately miniature timepieces (26mm in diameter) that encase quartz movements. The stress is obviously on design, not mechanical workmanship – here Ebel align themselves with such automatic watches purists as Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin, whose feminine collections also rely on quartz calibers.

Lady

Ebel Beluga Lady offer watches almost identical in design to the Beluga Mini – only larger in size, being over 30mm in diameter. The watches secondary jewelry characteristics, such as the diamonds on hour markers, the mother-of-pearl, and the silver coating, are all given more space to shine. The bracelets also receive more space, the smooth metal bricks having more room to offset the stones.

Beluga Haute Joaillerie is arguably the highlight of the collection. There are three models currently in production, one outshining the other. The first model is a fair simple elaboration on the Mini and Lady: the diamonds spill over on to the bracelets' smaller framing bricks, while the rest of the design remains the same.

In the Paved version Ebel take things to another level by paving the entire watch with diamonds, 180 all in all. This, however, is not a new design; other brands have similar paved variations. The truly surprising model is the gemstone watch. It uses stingray skin (black) for a strap – talking about unusual materials – and, instead of the usual diamonds paves the dial with onyxes, creating a unique “Caviar style.” Yummy indeed.
