Ebel Classic collection embodies the brand's efforts to reproduce the architectural principles of simplicity, transparency and linear clarity.

Both Ebel Classic Gents and Ladies display unparalleled visual variety with very limited resources, presenting watches that many today consider, expectedly, as “classic.”

This collection pioneered the instantly recognizable two-tone design, a combination of steel and gold that generates a hypnotic pattern, and produces a visual tension that both stirs and satisfies.

No less familiar is the trademark wavy bracelet, that seems to ripple on the hand of the wearer.

Gent and XL

Classic Gent watches encase quartz movements, and present a casual, not without some formality, face.

Black or white dials incorporate Roman indexes and avoid unnecessary elaborations, keeping the surface clean and tidy.

This is the ultimate casual watch. The screws play a basic decorative role, especially in the stainless steel models.

Gent XL offer larger watches, some of which contain automatic movements, with a basic date complication. Silver on the dials and brown alligator straps bring additional variety (which enthusiasts may consider unnecessary).

Ebel may match the color of the hands (central seconds hand) either to contrast with the dials or to accord with the indexes, causing some subtle changes in character.

Classic Hexagon watches enclose automatic movements with complications: regulator, day-date, and big-date. Usually equipped with a strap, they differ significantly from the other Classic Gents watches, both visually and in inward character.

Hexagon essentially becomes a sub-collection with the aim to display the complications, which emerge on the dials in the form of oversized subdials.

Some of the designs resemble Breguet and Blancpain complicated pieces. The most unusual watch shows time using three dials, one for the hours, another for the minutes, and still another for the seconds.

To keep the dials as clear as possible, the brand opted for basic linear indexes instead of the Roman numerals.
