Ebenezer Covered Bridge is now located in Mingo Park which is a county Park in Washington County Pennsylvania. It hasn't always been there. It was moved from its original location in 1975. This is one of 8 covered bridges that Washington County PA owns.

The Bridge was called Ebenezer Church Covered Bridge. It has 1 span and is 38 feet long. It is also 12 feet wide. It is unknown who built it or when it was built.

Like all the other covered bridges in Washington County, this bridge is also painted red. It's a unique shade of red that is also painted on barns in the county also.

In 1975 they started moving the bridge from it's location to the park. It took several years for them to finish moving the bridge. There are some photos of the progress that they took when moving the bridge to it's new location.

The first photo shows the bridge in it's orginal location, while the last photo shows the new location in Mingo Park. This is one of the many covered bridges that have been preserved for future generations. While the date that this one was built is unknown, most of the bridges in Pennsylvania have been built in the late 1800's. So more than likely this is about the time that thie one was built.

There are other photos of the bridge at FMY Photos. As well as other photos from other covered bridges.

  • Website update

I am still working on the new website. Hopefully it will be easier to navigate then on Smugmug, where I have the photos hosted at now.It has taken me longer than usual to do the website, there are just so many photos in the collection, that each one needs captioned, and organized. But it's coming along slowly. It has just been taking most of my time just working on the site. But I am happy with the way it looks so far.www.fmyphotos.com - 5 months ago
