Tell someone they can get all of this for $300+ and everyone that knows anything about elliptical machines will be all ears.
Pros
Adding sensors to the handlebars to track your heart rate and keep you in a specific targeted area for your workout is a fantastic benefit. This allows you to actually know whether or not you need to work harder to get maximum results from your workout. There are ten program workouts available on the Elliptical 1100 HRA that are set to work different areas of the body throughout the week.
Programs are set up to enhance all aspects of the body a little at a time so you can reap the reward of working every muscle possible. Twenty minutes is all it takes for an entire workout, which is a substantial benefit for those who are always in a hurry or feel they don't have enough time for exercise. Cons
One thing many reviews have talked about is the hard to understand instructions that come with the elliptical. Not the setup where most say it takes around an hour or two, but using the ten workouts that are programmProForm FX7 Elliptical Review
Other Notes
Released in 2008, the ProForm FX7 Elliptical took a page from every other elliptical machine the company has produced. It offers an 18" stride to work well for both men and women building and toning muscles all throughout the body. EKG sensors, magnetic resistance, and a price just under $600, only speak of a few benefits associated with the ProForm FX7.
Pros
If you ever wanted your own certified personal trainer to set up workouts for you, its possible to have one programmed in the ProForm FX7. This elliptical offers 19 different workout programs that have all been made by trainers with substantial amounts of certification. Even more beneficial is the ability to create your own, once you get used to the elliptical itself, and everything the ProForm FX7 has at your disposal.
Having a 18" stride allows you to maximize your leg workouts to the fullest, something that most economical ellipticals can't do, and only fair as big as around 15 inches. Whenever you get to the point that a program is becoming easier, you can integrate the incline ramp to spruce it up again. This will allow you to keep changing routines so workouts don't become boring or uneventful.
Cons
One of the most concerning issues about the ProForm FX7 is the weight capacity of 250lbs., which is lower than most elliptical machines. This even makes those that are over 200lbs. leery that excessive use even at their weight will cause this ProForm elliptical to become unstable. Understandably so, considering they offer an upfront warranty of only ninety days, which isn't long enough for a $600 product.
The only other thing that people complain about the FX7 is the swaying back and forth as you work out that can occur. This however is something that could be due to being heavier then the capacity allows or even if its placed on top of an unstable area. Many times elliptical machines feel like this due to placing them on carpet instead of a smooth tile, wood, or concrete service that is flat and hard.
Other Notes
Money wise, it's a great deal for all the FX7 has to offer, but if you can't find the elliptical at the sales price, you will probably be paying at least $1,000 which there are much better options for that amount of money. This is due to the weight capacity for the most part, but if you are an individual under 200 lbs., then this is a perfect opportunity for an inexpensive price. Just remember to try the machine out before purchasing, so you can actually feel the benefits instead of someone just telling you. ed in the machine can be difficult to figure out. Along with extensive use will result in malfunctions.
This elliptical is used more so by women then men because of the not only the shorter strides, but also the maximum capacity is 275 lbs., even though others complain about a wobbling effect if you weigh in between 200-230 lbs. and use the Eclipse. This also seems to create loud noises to a machine that is supposed to be quiet.
We all come in different shapes and sizes, so when looking for an elliptical machine each body is going to affect the ellipticals differently. You must remember this when reading reviews on different elliptical machines, especially when there are bad reviews which could have been caused by not reading warnings properly or over using something like the Eclipse that is made affordable for everyone, but not built for a family of four to use it all hours of the day. Just keep this in mind while you are looking for your next elliptical machine.
