Affordable Fountains

If you would love to have a water fountain in your home you don't think you can afford one, think again. Water fountain discounts can be had if you just know where to look.

Going Online

Of course, going online is your best bet when it comes to looking for wall water fountains, whether discount or otherwise. And you should really start your research there, whether you intend to actually buy online or not. Here's why. You can look at a number of different colors, styles, materials, and so on, and you can figure out what you want just by doing a little research on line before you get down to the nitty-gritty and narrow down your choices based upon your budget.

So, for example, let's say that you want a discount water fountain in stainless steel. Now, stainless steel is a pretty pricey material to have the fountain be made of, especially if you're looking to save a little money. But, it's also sleek, modern looking, and quite easy to keep clean. In general, these types of fountains are also pretty sturdy. This keeps your maintenance costs down.

Narrow your search.

So first, just go online with the keyword search term, "Indoor water fountain," or something similar. You'll find lots of sites selling indoor water fountains in a variety of styles. Take a look at the pictures, take a look at specifications, and read customer reviews to figure out which models work and which don't.

Some of these sites are also going to be having water fountain discounts on certain styles. Now, be careful here, because a lot of these sites especially may be trying to unload fountains that were not good sellers because they were poor maintenance prospects, or something else was wrong with them. Still, some sites sell water fountains at discount off-season, so this is another place to look for a good price.   Others Keep their prices low by selling in volume.  These sites are usually listed at the top of the search results.

Other Retailers

It's perfectly understandable if you don't want to buy online, but you can still get some good ideas there. Once you've done this as noted above, you can take that information with you to brick-and-mortar stores like home improvement stores (some of which have quite good fountain selections) specialty stores, garden warehouse stores, or even thrift shops or antique venues. Be advised that if you go to thrift or antique shops, for example, you may not know exactly what you're getting, so it's helpful to take someone with you who's really knowledgeable about fountains if you want to peruse fountains in these particular two locales.

As you shop, take the information you got off the Internet with you so that you can talk to salespeople about exactly what you want. Chances are, even if they don't have exactly what you want in stock, they can get it -- and again, they may even be able to get it at a discount. Especially right now, with the economy in a bit of a downswing, retailers are often eager to make a deal with customers simply to make a sale in ways they might not have been before. So don't be afraid to haggle on the price a little bit once you see what you want. Again, your online research should have given you a good idea of what a good discount price is going to be.

Considering buying online

Again, unless you really, really don't want to purchase online, it's your best option when it comes to getting a water fountain discount, especially one with features you want. If you go to a brick-and-mortar store, you may end up settling for a floor model that doesn't quite have everything you want. If you can wait a few days for delivery, and the online retailer gets good reviews, the water fountain you get should provide you with years of enjoyment at a discount price.
