if your pdf language has native support in windows, and you have a font available for windows, you can edit that with cutepdf free evaluation version. if your language doesnt have support in windows, than you cannot edit it.

to check if your language has support in windows, just try to change the keyboard layout to that language. if you find a compatible keyboard layout, you can edit your pdf. but if you have to use special software to type in that language, than probably you cannot edit that pdf.

Thank you, tbscmc, for your response.

I am a lingusit, and the file has IPA symbols and characters specific to many non-romanized languages. I have no trouble producing these fonts, but I just want to make minor revisions in my file. I want to do this without converting from pdf to doc, because every computer shows the document differently in MsWord, but pdf shows consistently.

Any advice?

I got a Cutepdf.rar, but I couldn't open it on my old computer. Everything has to be done on the old computer, which has no working modem any longer, because only in the old computer does the MSWord document look the way it should.

However, I am trying a new software solution now, and I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks for the help!
