Attraction marketing is the new way that people are building their businesses online, whether it be network marketing, affiliate marketing, internet marketing or just about any other home based business. The key to attraction marketing is providing valuable information upfront so that people come to you and want to do business with you. Article marketing is the best free marketing tool on the Internet today. Here are some valuable tips that will help you energize your article marketing, driving more people to your site and establishing you as someone people want to do business with.

Tips to Energize Your Article Marketing:

1. Use powerful titles. No matter how great article might be, if your title doesn’t grab people’s attention, then it won’t get read. So learn how to create a compelling title that communicates the gist of the article and what the reader will gain by reading it. No hype, just value. Your article title should be to the point, benefit-focused, thought-provoking, and intriguing. They must also be keyword-rich so your articles will rank well with the search engines.

2. Provide Valuable Content. Always remember your purpose in writing the article. That is to share valuable information with your target market thereby gaining their trust and establishing yourself as a solutions provider. Learn how to write effectively and address the needs of your target market. It’s always helpful to have a colleague or friend read your article to give you feedback. Make sure your article is well-written, concise, typo-free, and above all, informative.

3. Submit Your Article to More Than One Site. You may be writing some great articles and putting them on some popular places like Squidoo or Hubpages. You might be bookmarking your aticles at one or several of the social bookmarking sites. But have you thought about how much more traffic you can generate if you submit your article at various sites? There are some great article submission sites that are free and can help you increase traffic to your blog or website. Ezinearticles and Article99 are just two examples. Google “free article submission sites” and you’ll find a wide range of possibilities.

4. Write a Great Resource or Author’s Box. Once people have read through your article, if they like it they will read the information about the author. That author’s box should include a short bio as well as contact information (email, website, telephone number). This is where you brand yourself so make sure your personality and spirit shine through. Include a powerful call to action and consider offering freebies (e.g. a free ebook, newsletter or consultation) to compel people to visit your site.

5. Measure Your Results. Visit the sites where you post your articles to determine your open and conversion rate. If your open rate is not very impressive, you have to improve your article titles. If people are reading your articles but not clicking on your author, then there could be several issues at work. You might need to improve the content of your articles, shorten the length of your articles, or make your articles more focused on the needs of your target market. You might also need to improve your author box to make it more enticing.

Submitting your articles online gives you FREE publicity. It allows you to position yourself as an expert in your field and build credibility with your target market. And if you do it well, namely write a great article with a compelling title and author’s box, you will drive more traffic to your website.

Take the necessary steps to learn how to do article marketing and attraction marketing. It will benefit you for a lifetime.

Hey Cindy,

Excellent hub on the value of Article Marketing!!! I also use ArticleCity.com and GoArticles.com, but I will have to check out your tips as well.

Your note on a well crafted Author Bio/Resource Box is key, and very important area to test and utilize deep linking strategies back to relevant content on a person's site. Also helps with SEO.

Excellent stuff, thanks for sharing :-).

Cindy I concur, if authors submit to more social websites and bookmarks they will receive more traffic. I personally submit my articles to over 60 social websites at one time using a special software.

Once again, Thanks Cindy!!!

Cindy- I only write here on hubpages and mentioned other in the poll. Those are some great tips. Btw I had a small doubt "3. Submit Your Article to More Than One Site." Do you mean we can submit the same article(is it allowed) or just link our hubpages articles to those sites. I am sure you must be a successful with such a wealth of information and presentation style. Looking forward to reading your other hubs.

Thank you GF. JK, we've connected offline and I appreciate getting to meet you. Jim, thanks for your feedback and support (as always!). CW - thanks for visiting and for your feedback. I understand the possible confusion. You have to be careful about submitting the same article to different social networking sites or your blog. But you can submit your article to different sites such as Article99, ArticleCity, etc. There are services, such as www.articlemarketer.com, that will submit your article to the various sites for you, but I've been cautioned about using that service because it can appear as spam. There is a debate on this subject, and I'll leave it to your discretion. Articlemarketer has a free report you can download on this subject. They also provide a list of all the sites to which they submit your article. Just go to http://www.articlemarketer.com/p_distrolist.php. What I do is find sites that are relevant to my target audience and submit articles there. If I'm going to have an article on my blog and then want to also include it in hubpages, I will make sure to change it sufficiently so it is not regarded as spam. I hope that helps. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you want to discuss further. Best wishes, Cindy

Great hub. Very well written and lots of valuable links. About submitting to multiple sites -- I've found that you have to radically rewrite your articles before HubPages will accept them as original. I used to use The Phantom Writer to distribute articles, but stopped when I heard that both HP and Google had changed their rating systems, and went for only original content. I don't know if that's true, but perhaps you do?

Hi Bruce - thanks for your feedback and question. It's actually a really good question and I don't think there is firm concensus on this point.

It has been said that Google will penalize you for duplicate content, while others say this isn't the case. People have found different ways of dealing with this. From what I understand, if you have duplicate content, Google will select the one that they like best and use that. Of course, this might not be the one that you like best. Google does this so they can avoid having 10 URLs all with the same backlinks.

One suggestion is to change up your articles a bit and then sumbit them to different sites. Some call this "article spinning". Basically, you take one article and create many unique articles from the same one. Some people use software to do the article spinning, but you have to be careful because they can make a mess of your articles.

There are some great discussions you can follow on this subject. One that I found particularly helpful is at this link http://ez-onlinemoney.com/blog/article-marketing/m It is by Josh Spaulding and what he basically says is that Google does not penalize sites that are syndicated, but if the same article appears on hundreds of low quality sites, then it will lower your Google ranking.

What Josh does is submit half of his articles to the top 5-10 article directories (e.g. Ezinearticles, ArticleDashboard, Amazines), and then submit the other half to the top 30-50 quality article directories.  I think you'll find his post very helpful.

Thanks for bringing up a great question. If anyone else has ideas or suggestions on this subject, that would be great.

I've been looking into article marketing hubs, as it is related to what I do (which is online promotion) when I stumbled upon your hub. Good stuff you have here. Good titles, good content, they entice readers to click on the author link (or whatever others links you may have provided) thereby generating traffic for one's site. We can find out about this formula if we Google hard enough, but your hub provides the context, the tips, the walkthroughs. Neat.

I like how you phrase what 'attraction marketing' means. The definition slides clearly into enticing people "to do business with you," which in turn slides into tips into energising a free online promotion tool - article marketing. These small things I appreciate as an online marketing enthusiast. Clearly written tips and no buzz phrases so far that make the hair on my neck stand (I obviously read too much of them everyday). Good hub.
