One question I get frequently is where and how to get started. I need to digress a bit a talk about the most important goal in internet marketing and marketing in general. The number one goal is to provide enough value for your customer or prospect to make them feel a sense of urgency to get MORE information from you. In other words, the number one goal is to capture names, numbers, and email addresses. When this goal is accomplished you have effectively created a relationship forever, or until this person decides they no longer want information from YOU. That can happen quite quickly if you are not providing valuable information to this person. I want to talk today about a specific technique successful marketers use to get free traffic. Most of the techniques we use for marketing are FREE. Video is absolutely huge right now. If you do not have a YouTube account...go get one yesterday. It is free. Forgive me if this information seems a little elementary to you. It is simple stuff, but so is everything we do. It seems like rocket surgery at first, but it is quite simple once you dive in and make a ton of mistakes. (Yes I did say "Rocket Surgery") I want to share with you a quick video on How to use Windows Movie Maker. To be a successful internet marketer I recommend you have a video camera in arms reach at all times. I use a simple Logitech web cam when I'm sitting in front of my desk, but when I'm out and about I use a Digital Video Cam Corder. I bought it a few years back for about $500, but you can get this exact same model for about $250 today. I hear good things about the flip video.

It is around $100 and you can put it in your pocket. The first lesson is to get eyeballs to your website. Check out the tutorial below. it is not the best video, but it will give you an idea of where to get started. Windows Movie Maker comes free with every PC. Just mess around with it. You can NOT hurt anything. You are essentially creating a new "document" which has no effect on the original video. So go make a ton of mistakes....

This is what can happen when you truly learn how to market online. Even more importantly...this is what happens when you learn how to TEACH this. .. you will have people knocking at your door, for your product, your service, or to join your company.

****I want to caution you here****

Do not sell people. People do not like to be sold. Attract people to you by providing 90% valuable information and 10% sales copy. We are all in business, and people understand that. They just don't want to be sold to 24/7...When you provide valuable information, you will separate yourself from 95% of the marketers out there. You've seen it on the forums, in your email, etc. The amateur comes right at you and says...

"Hey Test, you have to check out my site! It's the greatest thing in the world and were gonna make a ton of money." They wonder why they are starving.

Don't get me wrong. I used to do the same thing.. I admire their enthusiasm, but for Pete's sake, create a relationship with me, before you try to sell me. I have enclosed this video to show you that you don't need to be all dressed up and having the perfect lighting etc, to have an effective video. I had a thought and I make it a habit to put my thoughts on video. It is nothing fancy. You can use some other techniques to spruce up your videos, which I will show you in a minute. Notice the sincerity and urgency I have...People can feel that...

I have enclosed the following video to show you that you can get more fancy with your videos, by putting music in and put other scenery etc. Most importantly, I want to emphasize to have fun with your videos. It's called "Attraction Marketing" for a reason. Keep in mind that, this came after several videos. Don't feel like you have to be an expert at editing to have effective video marketing. Just have fun with it, and more importantly...do at least one video a day and your business WILL explode. I hope this helps you in your marketing.
