Eldercare through their eyes
57Eldercare through their eyes
Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone.--Jim Fiebig
I am young enough to do most of the things I did when I was young, but old enough to see the effects of aging. This quote above reminds me that as anyone ages, it does not change their feelings and they deserve the same consideration as a younger loved one. Even if they have matured or even if they might be forgetfull, who can really say what they see, hear and feel? It seems to me the old adage of putting yourself in another shoes is always good advise to follow.
Here are some posts on eldercare that I read this week and I'm wondering how an elder might view the same stories?

I really enjoyed reading thru the various articles here. Two especially caught my eye. Care home nurse left elderly patient with gaping wound - really points up how vital it is that we maintain a close supervision of our aging parents, whether our senior home care is in our home or in a care facility.
