Eldest Is the 2nd Book in the Best-Selling Inheritance Trilogy Series
Eldest is the second book written by Christopher Paolini. He wrote the first book, Eragon, when he was a home-schooled teenager.
Both books made the New York Times best-seller list. Eragon has been made into a movie. There is talk that Eldest will also be made into a movie. The third book in the trilogy series is due out September 20. It is called Brisingr and can be pre-ordered online right here.

My kids love these books...they are homeschooled...hmmmmm.... :)
My kids are homeschooled, too. (Well, now two are in college.) That was how we got interested in the Eragon and Eldest books. I read that Christopher Paolini was a homeschooler that had written a best-seller, and we had to check it out.
Indeed, I'm awaiting info on the next movie. My kids are not homeschooled, but these are definately in my top ten faves.

I love these books i have read them over and over again. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am also homeschooled.
My kids are homeschooled, which is what sparked their initial interest in the books, and found they lacked maturity and were highly predictable. Considering they are 8 and 10, I don't find that much of an endorsment.

Can't believe a teenager wrote Eragon and Eldest! It's so unbelievable. I'm dieing to read Brisinger! I'm expecting it to be a real big hit like Eragon and Eldest.

Eldest sounds like good news, but I don't think that the movies are improving anything. I prefer the book most of the time.
