Elearning Solutions: Learning to be Effective and Efficient Without Sacrificing Company Time
51
Most of the stress that I get from work comes from two sources: the new software and systems that I have to test, evaluate, and introduce to the company, so as to make office automation and processes faster and more efficient, and from the people who constantly complain to me that the system cannot be learned, and when learned, cannot be handled effectively and efficiently. In my opinion, this can’t be helped. New software is something that will always be there, considering how most technology-based things are constantly being upgraded and made better, mostly because of the need for better things, and a healthy dose of competition. In fact, some companies do all of their upgrades all because of the competition, since the market is a fast and fickle thing, and the success a company enjoys today may very well be gone tomorrow, especially if the competition manages to snatch away a good chunk of the consumers that have already subscribed to a particular brand in favor of another. More than brand marketing, this is a reality. Hedged further by the economic slump felt all over the world, competition has never been more fierce than it is today, with brands and corporations all seeking to offer the next newest and “best: thing on the market, all in the hopes of attracting the most in terms of consumers, thus allowing them to stay afloat in an unsure market. This is partly why there is a specific need for elearning solutions that will not only educate people more about the need to remain updated and astride with the times in terms of technology.
Most, if not all members of the working class have their noses to the grindstone for the better part of their day, with barely enough time for rest and everything else, that there is virtually no other time to allot for studies and other endeavors to learn new skills, learn how to use the latest technology, and other self-improvement implements. I have learned that e-learning tools afford people the most in terms of learning and in time management, since what could be more convenient than being able to learn and upgrade your skill sets and still be able to fulfill 100% of the work needed from you? Companies, after all, pay for work done, not for the time that it takes for a person to learn how to be better at work.
