If you don't fall in love with the electric violin, somethings wrong...

From Wikipedia, the electric violin is just another fancy version of the electric guitar that plays like an violin. Electric violin signals usually pass through electronic processing, in the same way as an electric guitar, to achieve a desired sound. This could include delay, reverb, chorus, distortion, or other effects.

After graduating high One of my favorite instruments is the electric violin. I first heard it played on the Disney channel for the young disney orchestra. If anyone remembers that....An Asian woman, forgot her name unfortunately, must of been Vanessa Mae. Was smoking up the stage with a white electric violin! She plays so gracefully and by tossing her hair on every big notes. I was truly amazed and memorized by that one particular performance. Sadly I never heard it anymore for a long time.

After graduating high school, we went to church and heard for the first time, a live violinist in flesh! When she first played it, I just feel in love with the beautiful sound coming from within. I immediately signed up for a lesson and bought me a solid wood violin which I had to pay monthly considering it was worth nearly $700.00. (As broke as I was...) I didn't care, I enjoyed the lessons. I remember practicing so much for hours like its a new toy I have. I practiced so much that my fingers and collar bone would start getting soar. I knew I had to perfect every sound exactly like the CD...what's the name... of it again...oh Suzuki! Too bad I only got through with book volume 1.

I wish I could continue pursuing my passion with violin but finding the time for lesson and having to fix it (since my little sis kinda got a hold of it) is tough. Either that, or I'm just starting to get more lazy in forcing myself to practice more often. Plus I work nearly 70 hours a week...so eeh...

Raven, these sexy electric violins are estimated to be between $700.00 to over $1,000. Depending what type of material and strings its made out of.

BC, Been pulling your strings, and hair, where have you've been?

GT, I have to give up a whole lot more than music since work is consuming my life away.

BTW, didn't anyone listen to the beautiful sound it can make?!
