Elegant Pineapple Scarf

However, 4 oz of a worsted weight yarn can also be used.

Hook Size I or 5 1/2 MM

Please note, the chain 3 at the end of the row is the first dc of the next row.

Chain 17

Row 1: Half Double Crochet (HDC) in the 3rd chain from the hook and each following chain. Chain 3 (16 HDC)

Row 2: Skip the first HDC, Double Crochet (DC) in the 2nd HDC. DC in the next 5 HDC. Chain 2, DC in the next 6 HDC and DC in the turning chain. (14 DC, 1 chain 2) Chain 3.

Row 3: Skip the first DC, DC in the next 3 DC, chain 2, (skip the next 3 DC) 7 Triple Crochets (TC) in the chain 2 space, chain 2, (skip the next 3 DC), DC in the last 4 DC. (8 DC, 7 TC, 2 chain 2). Chain 3.

Row 4: Skip the first DC, DC in the next DC, chain 2 (skip the next 2 DC), *DC in the first TC, chain 1* , repeat 5 times, DC in the last TC, chain 2, (skip the next 2 DC), DC in the last 2 DC, chain 3.

Row 5: Skip the first DC, DC in the next DC, chain 2, *Single Crochet (SC) in the first chain 1 space, chain 3*, repeat between the **s 4 times, sc in the last chain 1 space, chain 2, DC in the next two DC, chain 3.

Row 6: Skip the first DC, DC in the next DC, chain 2, *SC in the first chain 1 space, chain 3*, repeat between the **s 3 times, sc in the last chain 1 space, chain 2, DC in the next two DC, chain 3.

Row 7: Skip the first DC, 2 DC in the next DC, chain 2, *SC in the first chain 1 space, chain 3*, repeat between the **s 2 times, sc in the last chain 1 space, chain 2, 2 DC in the next DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row, chain 3.

Row 8: Skip the first DC, 1 DC in the next DC, 2 DC in the next DC, chain 2, *SC in the first chain 1 space, chain 3*, repeat between the **s 1 times, sc in the last chain 1 space, chain 2, 2 DC in the next DC, 1 DC iin the next DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row, chain 3.

Row 9: Skip the first DC, 1 DC in the next 2 DC, 2 DC in the next DC, chain 2, *Single Crochet (SC) in the first chain 1 space, chain 3*, sc in the last chain 1 space, chain 2, 2 DC in the next DC, DC in the next 2 DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row, chain 3.

Row 10: Skip the first DC, 1 DC in the next 3 DC, 2 DC in the next DC, chain 2, SC in the chain 3 space, chain 2, 2 DC in the next DC, 1 DC in the next 3 DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row, chain 3.

Row 11: Skip the first DC, 1 DC in the next 4 DC, 2 DC in the next DC, chain 2, 2 DC in the next DC, 1 DC in the next 4 DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row, chain 3.

Repeat Rows 3-11 10 times.

Row 12: Skip the first DC, 1 DC in the next 6 DC, 2 DC in the chain 2 space, DC in the next 6 DC, DC in the turning chain from the previous row. Finish off, and weave in ends.
