The Bait

Everyone remembers this clown. How easy is it to fool unwilling and naive people into believing total bullshit? Can't be to hard obviously as entire campaigns are made and movies produced on pure bullshit scams. Here is an email you need to be aware of that contains the very simple copy written phishing scam. The wording plays on a very clever concept that tries to get you into sympathizing and feeling compassion with the need to help and make a difference. Some of the strongest human emotions there are.

Be warned however that the following email is a total and complete scam to steal your identity. Identity theft is on a very alarming rise in this world and the way that a thief captures your identity has become more stealthy and devious then ever before in our history.

The Email Phishing Scam Letter

The following is taken completely and directly from an email "phishing" scam campaign.

WARNING: Do not believe a word of this email, it is complete and utter bullshit and is merely being quoted for your educational benefit to recognize similar scams such as this one.

"My name is Mr. David Dover I am from Greece Please take this serious, I am taking this liberty anchored on strong desire to ask for your assistance for help. Your consent and urgent attention will greatly be needed, devoid of apprehensions. I have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. It has defied all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts.

I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone (not even myself) but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. Now that i have been diagnosed with this deadly disease I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as few close friends.

so, I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, Somalia and Malaysia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money, which I have there to charity organization in Bulgeria and Haiti; they refused and kept the money to themselves.

Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them. The last of my money, which no one knows of, is the huge cash deposit of Ten Million United States Dollars ($10,000,000,00) that I have with an Finance Vaulting Unit in Europe.I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatch it to charity organizations.

N/B: Kindly note that 35% of this funds must go to the tsunami victims,45% to other Charity Organization and 20% for your effort and time. I cannot talk with you on the phone due to my health situation, as I am using my Laptop Computer to communicate with you. if you are interested in carrying out this assignment on my behalf.

The Harsh Reality

The fact that this type of scam is easily recognized is probably a more alarming reality then the scam itself. Our society is not easily fooled anymore by clever thief's that play on our emotions to help someone dieing from a terminal disease anymore. We view everything with skeptical doubt and suspicion. The fact that a scam such as this one is seen for what it is immediately is probably the more disturbing fact here. The harsh reality that the world we live in today pumps out more reasons to distrust and be suspicious of people where something like this phishing scam would of been bought by the majority of people if it were just 20 years ago.

Today our society is becoming calloused with the increasing popularity of identity theft crimes and the methods they use are getting more clever all the time. Why do people fall victim to these still you may wonder. It's not due to tugging on the heart strings as a method worked but a more sinister reality.

Human nature and greed.

The thief plays on this emotion hoping a sucker will send over their information in the hopes of gaining this fake man's charity money to keep for themselves. Why would anyone be as dishonest as this email is?

Simple.

Our economy has bred this type of behavior and with it, these scams. Gas prices are ridiculous, food market prices are directly being inflated because of this, and grocery bills are outrageous. Consumer spending is on a plummet. The real estate and housing market has been completely bent over by greedy lenders that have caused the bubble to burst. And undoubtedly crime rates will begin to sky rocket as the economy continues to be more and more unstable and inflation rises out of control.

Protect your identity and educate yourself against these email phishing scams.

Relationships reflect the economy too

With an unstable economy and financial matters in the home being a source of stress to many couples, the divorce rates are on a larger rise as well. I directly link this to gas prices, housing market and a failing economy. Don't laugh at this. Many people that struggle to make ends meet are typically having relationship problems that are brought on by this stress of financial problems.

As people struggle to find a means of putting their financial worries into check it is no wonder scams like email phishing are more rampant and increasing with frequency. People desperately searching for a means to always make more money are easy prey for thief's. It is one of the largest niches on the Internet today. Work at home, make money, and own your own business. Quit your job, make thousands a day, be your own boss are the ads you see plastered everywhere on the Internet. Not to shocking when you think about it though. Porn is right up there on the Internet as well. Does it make any sense to you? Money and Sex. This shit sells itself.

If you have read my bio then you know how I've managed to search through the crap and bring you the "real deal" about making money with your computer.

The Wealthy Affiliate University is one of those "programs" that I bought into and learned the skills to make my income at home online. You will not get rich overnight and you will have to work at it to become successful. The endless crap on the Internet about getting rich quickly is purely 100% scams. And this basic human emotion to find that "secret" or "magic formula" method is only playing on your emotions.

The world today breeds the desires for money and sex and these two marketing strategies are used daily to bait and hook you into email phishing scams among endless other scams out there.

How did I miss this? Oh I know, it was the headline.

You see, I saw the headline and thought to myself "I know about phishing sites".

I was less busy today so came back for a look because I like the way you write, and you usually have a fresh angle.

This is an excellent hub in my view.

The fresh angle is there again in your well thought out truth about the human condition and the effect a greedy few are having on the mass conciousness.

I say again, I really like the way you write.

well you now how to stroke the ego

Thanks for the compliment brudda.

my writing sucks in my opinion and I really don't have a "style" per say...  I am just being me without holding anything back except for the obvious terms of service agreements.

Naturally if I had no limitations of writing it would be laced with all sorts of vulgarities and obscenities...  of course no one would allow my articles to be published of course so I have to tone down my natural tendencies to be brash and vulgar... tone it down a bit for more modest fans I have

I wrote this morning a fairly decent one about the scams out there I've done some investigating on over the past several months.

It has my usual shameless promotion of affiliate links in there, but as always, it's what I believe in and personally use.

Thanks for being such an advid fan and admirer.  I love the support!

Ciao,

Priest McLane
