Mutual Support for the Spiritual Life
I am genuinely interested in healing others through showing a common sense lifestyle based on respect for self, others and the planet embracing spirituality and honoring the divine in all.
The core of this living philosopy is promoting a Sattvic lifestyle with responsibility for our daily decisions and actions. The goal of this is ultimately good healthy communities and relationships and the spiritual goals(if inclined this way)is moksha(Liberation/Enlightenment) -even without the spiritual goals the physical and emotional benefits are extremely beneficial and provides a beautiful working model for society.
Tools that are beneficial: Following a daily regimen of Exercise based on Diet ,Walking, Yoga, Pranayam(breath control) and Meditation, and where needed Ayurveda.- it is not enough to explain or talk of these principles it is in my experience only useful if you can provide a framework/living example where instruction and practice of these things is available daily.
We are all just part of the world of Samsara, and I am a student too, I am no teacher just a fellow student of the path (Sadhana) what i seek is to establish a community of like minded individuals who support each other in Sattvic lifestyle and support each other in daily practice. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in living the sattvic (Do daily Yoga/Pranayam/Meditation etc)lifestyle and wish to have support or joining me in performing daily yoga/exercise/ etc in the Lucan or dublin area.
In the spirit of mutual support of living the spiritual lifestyle and giving mutual encouragment, and answering questions where necessary i have created a google group called Embracing Sattva click here to go there and join, please excuse me its still work in progress but you can post discussions and get very useful info from there.
Ayurvedic Therapy is my chosen profession, and it is also a part of my service to humanity and a spiritual practice for me, in this i believe in being open and transparent, if you need Ayurvedic therapy i adhere to the principle of aparigraha ie it is not my goal to become rich-, i limit my possessions and wealth accumulation to what is necessary for basic living expenses such as feeding my family and living withing the constraints of what is necessary, I will not overcharge you for services with a greed or huge profit motive, the charge will be enough to be fair in exchange for my time,and to cover the cost of medication, if you are without means to pay i will do the ayurvedic treatment for a donation,(whatever is in your means) and if the medicine is too expensive i can often find the means to healing through lifestyle adjustment (which by the way is 95% of the cure)and common kitchen herbs and spices which can go a huge way towards healing you. All herbs are only 5% of the cure, illnesses start in the mind and become manifest through our errors in thought(conciousness of the error), and how that plays out in our daily actions and choices. these manifest as poor lifestyle choices which lead to ill health and illness, the ultimate cure is to fix the cause(the error in conciousness, this can only be achieved by meditation on the cause of your suffering) Contact me if you need help doing this. Step One Determine your Constitution and Current state of Balance/Imbalance
Determining your constitution is the single most important step in understanding yourself from the point of view of who you are, and what behaviours you need to adopt in order to ensure maximum good health and even your spiritual path
- Your attitude to life(why it is how it is)
- The diet you should be following
- The lifestyle you should live that will promote the maximum health mentally and physically
- The spiritual practices that will give you the greatest benefit if you are into cultivating spiritually.
According to Ayurveda it is living in disharmony with who we are that causes all our illnesses, the initial spark of this is in your conciousness(
- the way you thought, that made you
- behave the way that became a
- habit that created ill health in your body and mind)
In order to trace back to the way of thinking that uniquely is the major cause for illness it is critical to determine your constitution according to Ayurveda
According to Ayurveda there are 3 Primary Doshas(Constitutions)
These are Vata Pitta And Kapha
Vata often lightly built, highly intuitive creative and flexible. Yet the mind is all over the place. the qualities of vata- prone to fear anxiety and fidgeting- physically prone to constipation.
Pitta Intelligent and quick to understand, medium build, prone to anger, jealousy hatred and inflammatory illnesses.
Kapha Stable and reliable, loving and calm Kapha individuals are either well built or podgy prone to congestive illnesses, flus, congestive heart disease,diabetes and obesity. -mentally prone to greed, possessiveness

for proper determination of your constitution and treatment you need to see an Ayurveda Vidya/Doctor or consultant at Ayurveda Herbal Medicine as there is a online vidya to help in determining the degree of imbalance(Vikruti) and the steps necessary to come back into balance.
The Pillars of Good health
- Sleep (6-8 hours) sleep is the mother of all healing
- Diet eating according to your constitution will promote health.
- Exercise - exercise enough to sweat , its a good idea to do a minimum of half hour walk a day, including yoga after that and youre well on your way to health.
- Sex - Overindulgence in sex(where it is obsession and purely lustful) or masturbation depletes your immunity, compassion and creativity. having a healthy balanced sex life necessary.
- Meditation daily has become a necessity to counterbalance the excess stress that a modern lifestyle dishes out.
