Embroidery digitizing is the process wherein any design that can be embroidered is converted into a format that can be accepted and can be read by the embroidery machine. Artists use special computer software in order to reproduce an artwork with precision and quality. Usually, clients send their artwork to the embroidery digitizing companies as an attachment to their e-mails, however, high resolution artwork is often too difficult to transmit via e-mail that is why embroidery digitizing companies suggest that it is best if clients will upload their art works directly to their website. When art works have extremely poor resolution, this is where digitizers come in. They interpret and redraw the design.

When requesting for embroidery digitizing work, the procedure is as follows:

  2. Embroidery digitizing company will then process artwork on their system.
  3. Once approved for digitizing, the embroidery digitizing company will then send a confirmation e-mail indicating that they have started production on the artwork.
  4. When design is completed, the digitized artwork will be sewed out on swatches to ensure that the design meets the embroidery digitizing company’s standard of quality.
  5. After completing and passing quality control, the artwork shall be sent to the client via e-mail. Note that this email should also state total number of stitches and the amount charged.
  6. Most of the time, artwork is completed within 24 hours.
  7. Submitted art work for digitizing remains in the customers account for 1 year in the embroidery digitizing company’s website.
  8. When the project is finished, clients will inspect artwork. In some cases wherein there are problems, the embroidery digitizing company rectifies the issue until the client is fully satisfied. Edits are usually returned within the next 12 hours and is free-of-charge when completed.
  9. Payments are done by putting the customer’s credit card number on their file and will be charged after the artwork is complete.
