It's Been A While, but no "Encore"

After five years Eminem has released Relapse. The beginning starts off with him talking to his shrink about AA and other bad influences, his permission to let Eminem take them may be a metaphor on how crazy he really is. In "3 am"(he has lately released a video for this)his sometimes creepy/always lyrical Slim Shady alter ego that made him so famous on The Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP appears in full force and doesn't stop.

Slim Shady?

He's back to talking about his mom, child rape, Ken Keniff, Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon. The "Pop" influenced "Who Made You" keeps his tradition of pop culture based humor. There are no "Hailey's Song" softer tracks on this whole album. He is very raw on this album, as if trying to say a message.

"Greatest rapper alive!"

It very well may be that Eminem is the best rapper alive? Only time will tell, there's still Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, Nas and others, but who has the numbers to compare. In this new album, Eminem seems hungry as ever before.
