Employment Agency Tips
I have had a few roles through recruitment agencies. I have learnt some lessons on the way.
Here are some tips
(1) Make it clear exactly what types of roles you are looking for
(2) Establish your salary/wage expectations, espcecially the minimum you are looking for.
(3) Don't be afraid to say no. Sometimes recruitment firms will try and pressure you into roles that you really are not that keen on. Don't feel pressured. It's ok to say no.
(4) Remember that the recruitment firm is working for you not the other way around.
(5) Always stay in regular contact. A lot of firms have thousands of people on their books so you can get lost in the crowd.
Just remember that the recruitment firm should be there to help you find that great role where you will be happy. After all you are the one who has to work in it.
Good luck with your job hunting.
