The environment is a balanced system, which is the resulting from the earth activity like the growing of lots of trees which contains a high percentage of carbon in them to prevent lots of carbon to be in the atmosphere.

This is beautiful balance is however being disturbed by our inhuman activity. Some of them is out of our control like the growth of the earth population of human, this leads to overgrazing of plants in areas where tress where (defrosted area). This is also a result of our high demand of food, not only to satisfy our needs, but also our bins.

Wasting food harms the environment by harming the trees. Trouble is most people don't realize the huge impact it has on our environment. When people buy food they barely think about the environmental cost, like having this product been produced in a place where it had been deforested or in a river side.

So by ending wasting food we would help the environment a lot. Think about how the transportation level would fall. Thousands of trucks may not be going back and forth releasing carbon to the air which the environment kept hidden deep beneath the depth of the earth. Not only that think how many farms would turn to forests, a home to many extinct animals. Not only will it help the nearly extinct animals but would also help us fight against global warming, because more trees means less carbon in the air, which also means less gas or oil is going to be used by trucks which could reduce oil or gas prices. This may also decrease the prices in food, and could lower the inflation in the world, all this because of the environment.

Less food wastage means less garbage which means less pollution as garbage and other waste products are disposed of by burning. Or it could be taken to waste land which also cause pollution caused by fermentation of micro organisms on the garbage producing gasses.

So if we help the environment, by reducing food waste it would help us greatly tackle our many problems. Not only in environmental issue but also is an expense in our daily life.

This is how ending food waste would help the environment, because it would increase the level of trees in the earth and lower the level of carbon in the atmosphere, which the environment had worked so hard to balance.

So next time you want to throw food away think of the tree you will be cutting down, plus the animals(mom, dad, kids animal) you will be cutting down. So help conserve the earth that we are supposed to protect. Whether from buying food you don't need or from teaching others about the problem of food wastage.
