ENERGY HEALING FOR DOGS, CATS AND OTHER PETS

There is much talk and reawareness of energy healing these days, and I think that this is absolutely fabulous. Being an owner of a Holistic Practice, I'm very passionate about holistic modalities, especially energy healing, but I want to bring more awareness to the fact, that it is not limited to just being effective for humans. Energy Healing is a fantastic way to address physical and emotional concerns of our dogs, cats, birds, horses, and any other pet you have.

Energy healing can never harm you or your pet. Energy healing can be done by anybody. Energy healing is perfect to use as a stand-alone therapy, or as an adjunctive therapy to any other conventional care your dog, cat or pet may be receiving. Energy healing can be done hands-on, or as a distant healing. There are absolutely no contraindications.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF USING ENERGY HEALING ON YOUR PETS?

* Alleviating pain and stiffness (very common in aging pets)

* Easing the discomfort from an injury and speeding it's healing process

* Easing the discomfort and pain associated with an illness, and helping the pet to recover

* Speeding the recovery process after surgery. Also helps to purge drugs and anesthesia

from your pets system much quicker

* Eases depression, fear and anxiety

* Great for helping a pet recover from a trauma or abuse situation. In fact, there are people

who go to animal shelters to give energy healing to all the animals inside, as this isn't the

most harmonious environment for them, and it helps to ease anxiety & fear from being there

HELPFUL TIPS FOR WHEN LEAVING YOUR PET AT HOME ALONE

As much as we all love our pets, we can't be with them 24/7. Many people will leave lights, music or tv on for companionship. This is actually good BUT.....with discretion.

Animals pick-up the same positive and negative energies as us humans, but are MUCH MORE SENSITIVE to them. Humans can react and feel and accept vibration frequencies up to between 200-20,000. An animal can accept vibration frequencies up to 200,000! That is why animals are said to "have a keen sense of smell /sight / sound / taste". Animals can sense danger when we humans can't. Animals can sense storms and other weather patterns, when we humans can't. So when leaving stimulating items and devices on for animal companionship, you need to be discerning on what you are exposing your pets to.

Let's get back to your pet being much more sensitive to vibrational frequencies and positive and negative energies than you are. If you leave a tv on for your pet, make sure it is on a station with positive programming. No kidding! Don't leave on a news channel; a true crime station or anything vulgar. I used to leave Animal Planet on, but don't anymore, because they show programming of abused animals, animal surgery etc. My few favorite, personal choices are a cartoon channel; the family station which show old shows like Andy Griffith Show and I Love Lucy, and the cooking network. Hey, if my dogs can cook me dinner.....bonus!

If you prefer to leave music on for your pet, the music selections most harmonious with any type of animal are: classical; jazz; soft contemporary. It has been proven to ease separation anxiety and fear, as well as helping them avoid or minimize some not-so-good behavior issues such as chewing your house up or barking non-stop.

Make sure you don't leave your pet in the dark. Yes they may be able to see in the dark better than we can, but it can bring on anxiety just like it would for humans.

Positive vibrational energies from the right choice of tv; music; lighting, will bring a much more harmonious alignment in your pet's energies, and you will have a much happier and healthier pet. They will thank you I promise. Just look into their eyes.

HOW TO DO ENERGY HEALING ON DOGS, CATS AND OTHER PETS

To cover this, would take an entire book, which is why I strongly suggest that you purchase one that you are particular drawn to, for step-by-step instructions and pictures. It is EXTREMELY EASY to do, and you can give your pet an energy healing either hands-on if they will sit still for you, or with a distant healing, which can be done with you "directing" energy to them. You can be in close proximity to your pet, or you can be away on business in Japan.

I often conduct animal energy sessions, and do them mostly at a distance. When doing a distant healing, I have a personal preference of having a picture of the animal sent to me via email or in the mail. I can connect with the animals energies more intensely by doing it this way, but this is my personal preference.

One word of caution: This is not really a caution, but more of an awareness. If your beloved is ready to pass on, and energy healing will not prevent them from passing HOWEVER.....it will GREATLY ease any discomfort they may be having, and will instill your precious pet with lots and lots of LOVE. If you must bring your pet in to be "put down", please DON'T LEAVE THEM!! This brings your pet much anxiety and distress. As much as YOUR heart is breaking, please stay with your pet, and hold them as you send them energy healing. They will pass with the final energies of LOVE and not fear and anxiety.

Thanks for this article. We just lost our much-loved 15 year-old cat last week and we had been working with an energy healer to help him during his last two weeks. We learned so much from the experience, through her healing work and through his brave acceptance of death as the next adventure. I know his passing was eased tremendously by the work she did and that we also learned to do. We are now experiencing a huge silence in our lives, and I think it is partly tied in to the fact that cats have such a high energy frequency that even while they are still and silent, you are aware of their presence on some level.

Jenny thanks so much for offering your kind words. May you be comforted by knowing that the energetic imprint of your beloved cat, will ALWAYS remain with you, and cannot be erased.

To activate and feel your cat's loving energy, sit for a few moments in silence, and while doing slow, deep breathing, from your heart center, start to recall loving, funny, tender moments your cat brought to you. Every cell in our body has cell memory recall abilities, not just our brain. When we sit in a moment of recall, we reactivate to the present, the energies of the person, pet, place or thing we are holding in recall. Sit here in this loving moment for as long as you like Jenny, and let your cat's loving energy heal and soothe your heart and being.

To bring the energy to an even higher level, if you feel comfortable doing so, hold one of your cats favorite toys in your hands, while sitting in recall.
