The 1966 World Cup is one of the greatest football competitions in history, and the first and last to be won by England. Alf Ramsey's revolutionary 'wingless wonders' tactics and his young squad made history when they conceded just one goal on route to the final before beating arch rivals West Germany 4-2 after extra time in a thrilling final. The inexperienced West Ham United striker Geoff Hurst was an unlikely hero, scoring a hat-trick despite having made just a handful of international appearances and only being in the squad as third choice before an injury to Jimmy Greaves. It will be 44 years since that victory when the tournament travels to South Africa in 2010, and no England team has been able to replicate the performances of those heroes. The current manager Fabio Capello will be seeking to become the first England manager to lead a team to success since Ramsey, and he will have hold the burden of an entire nation's hopes and dreams. Hundreds of famous images have come out of that West Germany final, with the England players wearing the red second kit, and the great news is that Umbro have re-released this special kit for England fans worldwide. Also available are high quality replicas of the white first kit as well as the two goalkeepers tops and Alf Ramsey's coaching jacket! This ultra-trendy retro range retails at prices starting at just $60 up to $85 and are featured below.

England 1966 Shirt (Red)

Despite the primary shirt colour for the English national team being white, they won the tournament in this red 'away' shirt. Many famous images, including that of Bobby Moore shown above, feature this famous red shirt. You can own your own identical officially licensed Umbro replica for $85, they are manufactured to the exact design specifications of the 1966 shirt!

England 1966 Shirt (White)

This white shirt was the primary kit, and was not used in the final due to the same colours being worn by Germany, both nations still wear white of course! I believe I am correct in saying that England wore the white shirt for their five other matches on the way to the final. The white top is available for $80 from Umbro.

England 1966 Goalkeeper Shirts

These blue and yellow shirts are replica's of the two shirts worn by the great English goalkeeper Gordon Banks during the tournament. I am 100% certain that Bank's wore the yellow shirt in the final against West Germany, and I am 99% sure that he wore the blue top in all other games; the reason being that the only one I have seen recorded in colour is the final! Both shirts are priced at $85 and are a perfect gift for any man or woman that wants to dive around in the garden pretending to be the world's best goalkeeper of the sixties! Like the red and white shirts, they are ultra-trendy and feel great when worn!

Alf Ramsey Jacket

Another great item in the range, and priced at just $60, is this great coaches jacket. This is an exact replica of those worn by the great manager Sir Alf Ramsey and his coaching staff throughout the tournament. The are completely timeless which means that the retro look is completely achieved without the possibility of a fashion faux-pas, and older men and women can impress their old mates with something which people probably couldn't even buy in the sixties! They are also warm and weatherproof, so are suitable as an everyday casual wear!
