1 Rail travel is the least expensive form of travel.
Response It depends on whether you travel by an air-conditioned carriage or by first class or by second. I think perhaps travelling by bus may be the cheapest form of travel.
2 Then why shouldn’t everyone travel by bus.
Response When the journey to be under taken is a long one. Then it is more convenient to travel by train. One can lie down and sleep in a train. In a bus one has to sit all cramped up in one position all the time. Moreover railway travel is not unduly expensive either.

American passenger rail isn’t what it used to be. With the universality of the automobile and ever cheaper airfare, the train has become a niche transportation for a niche group. At Penn, the vast majority of students jet out for the holidays ...

I have fond memories of visiting Sir Paul McCartney's old house in Liverpool. There was a man living alone there and giving guided tours, having got the job through an advert in the Big Issue . The house is made to look as it did when the Beatle grew up, so the resident has to live permanently amid 1950s fixtures and fittings, with only one room permitted a television and other mod cons.
